I’m unsure on Markstrom being here if JB makes Demko the man & good vet back-up added to save cap space looking ahead to Petey & Quinn.

As for Tanev being a UFA hard to say if resigned or if take a shot at Barrie. My guess it comes down to how this season plays out for both.

If Sven plays 70 plus games and puts up 40-50 points. Value would be restored very quickly.

i don't disagree with you.

this is partially why i'm not a jb fan. i think he went shopping too early. in my view, the big name shopping should have come when EP, QH and BB are on their 2nd contracts (2020-21+).

i think the team is definitely better on paper starting the season but i'm skeptical of the 2-5 year range. jb can still re-shape the cap to carve out space going forward but in my opinion he hasn't shown the ability to do so.
