I think Laine needs a uniquely structure deal. 15mil for the first few months, then 0 for the next few, then 6mil to end the year.

the league needs to move to a model where players are paid based on production. we need to see teammates fighting each other for points. tapping in pucks that are already going in leading to scrums would be epic.

He had only one good month, and it was a really good month goal-wise, but outside of it, he was replacement level.

I'd be shocked if it's not a bridge deal. But I hope Winterpeg gives him a long term deal worth a whole lot of $$$, because I think they'd regret it almost immediately.

Incredible that the Jets with many older core players move Trouba out for a questionable return. It would have been far better IMO to move older and broken down Byfuglien out over Trouba.
