Yeah when media suggests things a good number of fans take it as a Golden Rule.
I wasn't a big fan of Botch but I will give him the fact that he was entertaining. He knew how to start the fire. When he died he grew into legend proportions in the city and his word previously spoken turned into legend like Kings " I had a dream"
Goldy 2 years ago on the top line may have worked years ago when scoring was an issue but I don't see it this year. - VANTEL
yep, I think Goldy missed his chance unless he has improved or has a new trick.
I don't get Botch and the writer phenom stuff some media are peddling. It is much of the same old of making mountains out of molehills. |

I don't know about the lines this year and I don't really care today. I sure they and Green have ideas.
I think Canucks will have a good year but I don't think they have the roster yet that they think will take a deep run . I think they are still building for 2-3 years down the road. |

The pace he was on ‘til his bad habits were punished speaks for itself. Goldobin is 23 and the only player on our roster who thinks the game as creatively as Pettersson. He doesn’t fit anywhere except that line because he will never be able to coexist with guys who generate offense by dumping & chasing. He wants to enter the zone with possession & create space with movement/chemistry. Bury the kid if you want, but it’s a dumb move if you’re into maximizing value all around. |

I am not sure you and I are watching the same player. The Goldobin I have been watching has been lazy and slightly talented . Nothing over the top that makes him stick out over the rest.
If he is that talented then he should have no problem earning a top spot this year in training camp.I hope I am wrong because I would seriously welcome a top 6 talent . |

I’m sure JB & Green are on the same page for potential lines tbd after camp & preseason ends. Still see the blender come out in game as needed. LE is the big Q mark as we all know. His contract says he plays but it’s not guaranteed I hope.
PO’s be the goal not a deep run is likely lol
Yes 2-3yrs I agree to see us to be serious. |

The short & sweet on Goldy. He’s gotta see that & take the opportunity & never let go. He’s not an up n down the line up type of player.

Lots of factors will determine this season. The deeper roster says good things but injuries en masse are still the concern. A solid healthy D will go a long ways. |

Unfortunately I don’t see it happening here, but I won’t be surprised when he’s having a 55pt+ first season for the Kraken or scoring at a Gusev-like clip in the KHL & returning to the NHL in a couple years. |

You got to make the best of your chances that you are given. He reminds me of a Dahlen type player . Another name is Josh Ho Sang ( without the problems). He was beaten out of a spot by Josh Leivo last year.
He has one job this year . Earn that spot.

Just as possible. The timing is most likely just that. Green cannot wait on him indefinitely. Clock is ticking... |

He has the skill just needs to be active & hustle every shift. He’s the type of player that drives a coach nuts. Without the puck he needs to be smarter & do the little things.
Pretty much goes for JV also. |

Miller likes possession entry he might be good with Goldy. Green is going to use training camp and pre-season to experiment with the new possibilities.
To get his set lines he's got to explore his new options. What sticks may be different from expectation like:
Ferland Petey BB - Green has hinted he likes this. Protect the stars & add offense.
Sven Bo Peterson - Two wingers BO has shown chemistry. Good 2 way balance.
Goldy Miller JV - More offense less checking. Miller able to play both winger styles.
Leivo Beagle Sutter - Checking and defensive draws. Leivo 2 way grind.

Pearson with Bo lol
Those lines look ok to me.
Depends on if Green is wanting 3 lines deep to generate offence more than anything. |

I have seen glances of skill but that is it for me. If he goes back to KHL then guess what someone else will step in with that skill (Hogslander) . Like I said you only get so many chances . |

Most 22/23yr olds are allowed to learn their lessons in the AHL if necessary. Acting like the clock is ticking on a dude because he had to go through his growing pains in the spotlight is pretty unfair as far as I’m concerned. This team has been awful with zero depth - the only reason he was thrust into such a position. Now we finally get to see him compete and earn, and it’s going to be tough because he doesn’t play a game that resonates with Green. Green was/is a plug and identifies with grindstone talent. I just hope he comes to camp and makes the decision tough on the coaches. I’d love to see what he and Pettersson could do together with an opportunity to co-create. |

Didn't Bo and Person click towards end of season when Pearson got comfortable.
Preference would be more lines with offense. But maybe against top teams Green goes with 2 checking lines. Inserts Miller with top line. |

Well said & very true. We are only now a team that all spots are earned & the depth that makes it so. Green has a ton on his plate. |
