Risto's 40 points on the back end can easily be replaced by Dahlin adding 10-20 more points, and each d-man adding an additional what, 5 points more? With the minutes evenly distributed, it's not crazy to think that maybe some of those points would go around... He plays a lot. His numbers are inflated because of it.
We don't need scoring on the back end. We need defense. He does not provide that.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that we should try to flip him to New Jersey for Hall in some sort of deal.
New Jersey is an historically defensive town, however, they added Subban, Vatanen in the off-season... they could possibly try to replicate the San Jose model if they swung for Risto because Hall seems to have no interest in signing long-term.
I honestly think this could be a 1f1 trade since Risto has term left and Hall doesn't. Swap some picks or prospects to sweeten the deal. - BeadyEyedDouche
Did I just read, hall for risto 1 for 1
Shero isn't the GM that is on the fleecing side of trades....hall for Larsson
He can get a much better return than just risto and a sweetener |

Was Scandella this bad in Minnesota? Asking for a friend. - Chris16
I remember the reports were he had really struggled badly his last year in Minni. But he had been decent before that, I think. |

This. Minni fans weren't too upset to see him go. I don't know if anyone won that trade - we may have done a bit better getting Pommer but Minni was really after the cap space so in that sense that made out ok. |

-Day 430-
My companions and I have been resting at camp on this god forsaken island, waiting for our regulated hockey team to once again begin to play meaningful games. We sit in hope of a more successful season, discuss the individuals in detail. We discuss those who are irrelevant, those who are fat, and those who are tall and strong. It's been a good few months, since we sent those god damn heretics back into the jungles of our little island. The legends regarding the God of Hockey have been written into text and stored away in an old footlocker under the sand. Unfortunately, some rabble-rousers sat around camp today invoking the legends of the God, for no particular reason than to instigate the others. I promptly threw a rotting coconut husk at one of our leaders, and politely asked him to shut his (frank)ing mouth. The days of the God are gone, and we all hope he can remain as such. Hockey camp is nearing, and it's time to start studying the present, not the past.
Best,

Yeah, I think I’ll be going to the game on Friday. That should be fun. Cozens or not. |

I've been thinking the same. Last year Pilut and Thompson were easily the best two players. |

I was just looking at cap central, The Sabres are going to be shedding a shat load of dead weight after this year. What do the 2020 UFA's look like, we will have like 45 Mil to spend.
