You got Caufield at 15. Shut up

I haven't been this excited about our prospect pool since 2007 when we had Price, Pacioretty, Subban, Mcdonagh and others coming up.

The next few years are looking good.

I'm confident the Habs will find a way to screw it up and squander all that potential.

9.5 x 3 is crap

what a poop situation if Mitch decides to hold out for that much.
8x3 is more that anyone in his situation has gotten by a decent margin.

If the Leafs give him 9.5 for only 3 seasons they will have gave in imo

For the second time in 2 weeks, they just had to take the guy in the office next to mine to the Hospital. Last time he spent 3 days in ICU. He went directly to ICU this trip. Scary stuff. Irregular heart beat.

that would be a fail on Dubas' part.

3 yrs at 9.5M per season.. Would be brutal.

the thing is, If Mitch wont accept anything less, you cant make him.

question is, are you fine letting him sit then?
the term sucks, but thats 3 years of him in the lineup leaving a little space for something else

anyways, I dont want to waste a shot at a cup for 1.5mil or whatever.

I like the Nylander deal more and more each day

Ideally, 6 years at 9.5M per.

Yeah, that would be solid. Pay a little more than Aho and buy one year of UFA.

Gotta avoid 34 and 16 contracts expiring the same year, I assume 5 years is a non-starter from the team's perspective

That's my line of thinking as well. Also, I'm not certain that Marner is $1M better than Aho.

Do you have an AED in the office and someone (preferably more than one) who is trained in CPR?

I hope Mitchy's camp realizes this is a totally different situation than Nylander last year.

Nylander sitting to start the season helped the cap situation.

With every game Mitchy sits this year, it reduces the amount they can give him.

That's a nice little bit of leverage that Dubas has.
