If Okposo comes back healthy I could see him getting 20/30 and have no problem with him getting ice time. - adambuffalo
I admire your optimism. His first challenge will be retaining his spot on the PP after the additions of Mojo and Vesey. That's where he got nearly half his points last year |

15 goals would be his absolute top end imo. He's always going to have more assists than goals. I said before though, I think he will definitely break 30 points, especially if he's with Vesey or Mojo, and as long as they keep Sobotka and Lockport twins away from him - jcragcrumple
You said 40- 45 points for erod also.
Hard to keep your posts straight.

I would trade, Skunk, any D-man not named Dahlin, My first in next years draft, and any AHL prospect I have for Marner... In a second... - hehateme
And have one line making over $30m? |

I am fine with that. As long as he looks decent in preseason. Which will be hard to see due to Sabres preseason games never in tv. It’s 2019 and still can’t watch the preseason 😂😂 |

I've been pretty consistent, cookies. If Mitts isn't ready for full-time 2C duty and they roll with a 2a/2b line situation, I think erod would hit 40 points.
If Mitts is playing real deal 2nd line minutes, that won't happen. And that would be a good thing for the Sabres.
He gets the over on 30 points either way as long as he isn't with Sobotka, girgs or larry |

If Larry, Gus and Okposo are taking ice time from anyone, then either Botts didn't do enough, or Krueger went to the Housley school of coaching. No way those guys are playing 14 minutes a night again - jcragcrumple
I look at it the opposite way. Larry/Gus/X is their top defensive line. It's on the others to take time away from them. I see ERod as their #3 offensive option and #2 defensive. Curious to see how Ralph does it. There's so many defensive liabilities on the team to work around.

We're picking top 5 if erod is playing 2c. Under any circumstances
2 goals in the first 41 games last year
Erod is replaceable. |

Oh lord, I will lose my mind if the twins play as much as last year. I dont see it happening. Over relying on those guys plus Sobotka and Scandella is what got Housley fired |

Sure, I agree with all of that.
I've said many times the season hinges on Mitts and his ability to be a 2C.
Erod is definitely replaceable, but not yet because of his versatility and because he's basically the only guy who can produce any sort of offense without Eichel (reinhart probably as well). Mostly though, this is still a slow team and he's one of 3 guys with above average speed.
I think you'll see a nice season out of him if he's with a guy like Vesey or Mojo, and not with Sobotka or gus or larry |

Erod wouldnt be a top 3 center on a playoff team.
Dude is small and has very little scoring touch.
Now he's getting paid 2 million.
Kinda a p*ssy that adds zero grit

I know you will, but can you piece together a better defensive line? Are you putting MoJo/Mitts/Sam out against OV in the dzone? That's the closest I can come to a better group (unless they start saddling Jack with it), and I still wouldn't do it.

Pretending erod is 1 of the top 3 fastest skaters on the Sabres is being a giant homer.
Dudes average. Now hes getting paid, there goes the "value" argument
The lockport duo also suffered from erods lack of hockey sense. Works both ways.
Average small 4th liner with 0 snarl
