Tavares is a great athlete and terrific hockey player.
Couldn't think of a more boring player - media wise at least.
I guess he's the prototypical 'model pro'.
I really hope that in his personal life he's more interesting.

Hyman's the man - should be our next captain.

He already put up 79 points in 75 games in the AHL. I think we're past that and into the 'Let's see how he does at camp' discussion.
- TheMussel

that's the AHL.
NHL is a different beast.

better to shop Johnsson with his 3+million AAV contract.
(leafs have Moore, Mikheyev, Marner, Kapanen, Nylander, Hyman for wingers - then Bracco still has to compete with them for a top 9 spot..)

- MaximusAurelius

Its funny that you put Mikheyev in that group.

Having not even played an NHL game

he'll contribute to the team + much more convenient contract.
not saying he's going to be a 50 point player, but he'll be on the roster.

It totally is. He has shown that he is capable of producing at the AHL level but we won't know what he can do in the NHL until he.... *drum roll* plays in the NHL (or at least plays in camp vs other NHL players)

What's the story? I haven't heard anything.

You guys are so cool...

With your amazing opinions and all..

I come here to laugh at you gym-bags. Everyday it’s the same poop over and over. And it’s half non-Leafs fan now, lmao..

All the good posters are gone.. now it’s just pensioners, far-right MAGAts, and whiny-ass genY derps.

But when Nylander or Kapanen put up good numbers in the AHL at a young age people got all excited. So what's the difference?

seems like he's done developing offensively in the ahl.

probably time for a new challenge.

he could be a 50 point player. he could be a peter holland.

either way, his chance should be coming.

If Moore's a 4th liner, then Johnnsson is as well.
I think both are good 3rd liners - prefer Moore though.

times have changed.

nylander/kapanen/johnsson/dermott/hyman all had development time with the marlies.

it's not the days of joey crabb, joe colbourne, stuart percy etc. etc. etc.

a track record of success is starting to be established in developing players to fill out the roster around the top guys.

Agree!
Interesting so many think he's not NHL material. He's 3 months older than Matthew Tkachuk and scored one point less on the US National Junior Team in 14-15.

Desean jackson has a broken finger but he'll be ready to play on Sunday.

What is Woll hiding?

There isnt. I probably said the same thing.
Both have since proved they can repeat it in the nhl.
Bracco will need that same chance to prove it.

Last night, I got into a social media battle with apparent "Leaf fans" about this.. Many believe(d) that Marner is the only reason that Tavares scored 47, and because of that Marner should be paid like Tavares..

- PatC80

I guess that's why Bozak scored 47 with Marner lol

Pucks fly faster and hurt more than footballs.

Also, meaningless rookie tournament versus real game.

That wouldn't be so bad actually.

Domi grew up a Leafs fan, so we know he'd love to play here.

He's still 24 and just put up 28 goals and 72 points. He can play C or LW. He's an agitator. Basically a younger, more skilled Kadri.

Montreal probably says hell no actually.

The only real problem would be that he's an RFA next year and probably gets more than Nylander is getting so he'd be more expensive.
