Pucks fly faster and hurt more than footballs.

Also, meaningless rookie tournament versus real game.

- JohnFergusonJr

The thing I hate the most about the rookie tournament is that it's not sanctionned by a league. At least not really.

Last year, Jake Evans (a Habs prospect) got completely destroyed by a headshot by some random jackass on Ottawa's team.

Sure he got ejected from the game, but there was no real consequence for him or his team. No suspension could be handed out because there games are not "official" games.

I feel there's a big hole there for players safety that hasn't been addressed.

Tsn has a story that MarLeau will not be signing with the Sharks
- zazzle

Not sure any team wants Marleau. He's never going to find a coach who uses him like Babcock did. He was completely useless last year and hurt the team.

That is a pretty big loophole, especially when every year there's bound to be at least two or three guys on every team that are going out of their way to get noticed by throwing hits or starting fights.

Yup.

For whatever reason he dislikes Johnsson.

He has proven more than Moore has so far. Why not just like both players? Pretty simple..

The dude just picks players out of a hat to like/dislike. It is painfully obvious...then he obsesses over hating them/liking them.

What will you say if Johnsson puts up 65+p this year?
- Blazed

I mean he was 4th in P/60 the last 4 months of the season....One of the few Leafs who turned it on at that time.

He is good and at the rate he is going he will surpass Kappy...Kap will always have his sheer speed though. That is a special talent.

You guys have never heard of the player "weed grinder".

He is going to get 60+ points this season, why? Because I say so isn't it obvious?

I will make it my location so if it happens I am a genius.

Oh Nylander is poop because of Hyman and reasons. (frank) your facts.

You wouldn't even know Sandin is a Swede. Sounds like your typical Canadian

Always amazes me how fluent some Swedes can be at speaking English.

Excited to see what both him and Liljegren bring this year!

I guess that's why Bozak scored 47 with Marner lol
- Zezel

It was brutal, my dude...

I was told, I don't understand how hockey works if I think Marner should get less then Tavares

Always wish I could speak multiple languages fluently. I think that'd be awesome. Was never any good at it, unfortunately.

Closest I've gotten is sign language.

That wouldn't be so bad actually.

Domi grew up a Leafs fan, so we know he'd love to play here.

He's still 24 and just put up 28 goals and 72 points. He can play C or LW. He's an agitator. Basically a younger, more skilled Kadri.

Montreal probably says hell no actually.

The only real problem would be that he's an RFA next year and probably gets more than Nylander is getting so he'd be more expensive.

- JohnFergusonJr

Domi is a douche so no thanks.

Feels the same way about Nylander..

There is no better argument then the "Because, I said so" argument.

I only recently realized that the pre-season is also a bit ad hoc.

I always thought the league organized it.

Nope - the individual teams do.

Well the preseason is still sanctioned by the league.

For example, Domi decided to sucker punch Ekblad in his first preseason game and got suspended.... well.... for the rest of the preseason.... which was a little silly.

My point is, at least there was some sort of imputability, which you do not see in the rookie tournament. Especially since some of these kids are on tryouts... they don't even have a contract....

Exactly, or like that time David Clarkson jumped over the boards and pretended like he was gonna fight John Scott.
