Well the preseason is still sanctioned by the league.

For example, Domi decided to sucker punch Ekblad in his first preseason game and got suspended.... well.... for the rest of the preseason.... which was a little silly.

My point is, at least there was some sort of imputability, which you do not see in the rookie tournament. Especially since some of these kids are on tryouts... they don't even have a contract....

And the pre season is good too but it should only be 3 games. Maximum 4.

Honestly hockey is really messy the first 4-5 games of the season....it’d be even worse without pre seaoson.

I remember being all jazzed up for the Bs season opener last year and then we gave up a 7 spot

Most teams only play 6 games. Only a handful of teams that play 8 as far as I know.

Or at least that's what I've noticed the past couple years.

Maybe it's not a coincidence the Leafs did great from Oct. to Dec. and then were kinda poop / inconsistent from January until the playoffs.

Wouldn't be surprised if the exact same thing happens this year and they get off to a hot, high scoring start.
