I'm on the fence, I'm at 70% no, I think!

I still think they absolutely need a top LD to even have a chance at making the playoffs.
I would prefer a better player, but Gardiner doesn't cost any assets.
tough choice

I was gonna hire McCarron for that, he would come a lot cheaper

Oui, mais le gars a dit qu'ils l'ont posé et qu'ils ont mis du béton par dessus, va falloir couper le béton dans ma cave pour y avoir accès.

But McCarron isn't a Gardiner now, is he? Plus, he may be a lot cheaper, but he's so slow that by the time he's done cleaning we'll be pushing daisies

The need for an upgrade is there... but who do you take out? Mete, Kulak or Chariot?

They've missed the playoffs what, 4 times in the last 5 years? Yup, MB should really want to make them

I thought it was 3 of 4 years? Regardless, he should for sure, not saying they will but they'll be in the conversation

Yeah you're right, I think it's 4 of 5 for Laval (so they should be looking hard too lol)

And I wouldn't bet anything on it, but I feel that they'll have a better season than last year's. And surely this has NOTHING to do with the fact that I'm a fan.

In a way I agree... but to take Mete out wouldn't do a whole lot of good for his development. Kulak showed he belonged last season and is very reliable. I cant say much about Chariot but I doubt they inked him to sit in the press box.... but then again, Alzner

They're relying on internal improvements... and I cant argue with that

If I'm Gardiner's agent, a one year for whatever MTL can afford makes a lot of long term sense. Play top line minutes protected by Weber, QB the 1st powerplay, play in a massive media market, hit UFA next year and get the big payday. If I'm MB this buys me time and gives a short term solution

That's something that could also bite them in the ass considering how many career years were had last season

I'm talking more about Kotkaniemi, Poehling, Suzuki and others more so than Tatar, Petry and Co.

My thoughts exactly. But you have to take into account other factors, such as Price's poopty start last year, which he shouldn't repeat, and having Weber for the whole season (fingers crossed lol).

Poehling might make it, but I doubt Suzuki sticks around this year. Or maybe he has an amazing camp and stays, we'll see

that's bs imo.
Price won't be better. Gallagher won't be better. Domi won't be much better. Petry won't be better...so yeah a few of the others could improve, but that won't make them a contending team.
