My thoughts exactly. But you have to take into account other factors, such as Price's poopty start last year, which he shouldn't repeat, and having Weber for the whole season (fingers crossed lol).

So you're saying if they win the Octo Cup and then basically repeat last season after that, they're set?

that's bs imo.
Price won't be better. Gallagher won't be better. Domi won't be much better. Petry won't be better...so yeah a few of the others could improve, but that won't make them a contending team.

Will they all be worse? I doubt that.

not saying they'll be worse, but they need to be significantly better.

Any other year the season they had last year gets in the playoffs. If they were in the west they would have finished 5th or 6th I believe. They don't need to be significantly better

So Domi peaked at 23?

And I've underestimated Gallagher before, never again...

And again, I was referring to the kids as opposed to the vets

Hopefully having Kinkaid will help them in the 20-some games he'll play in, since Niemi kinda shat the bed last year

that's alot of ifs. meanwhile we wait. and we wait. nothing wrong about that I guess.
I'm not big on ifs and excuses.
a few injuries and this is a lottery team. last year Weber missed 2 months. that's it.

Weber is 34 years old. At some point this is gonna fall apart on him.

Armia missed a couple months, probably why the PP was so brutal, he is the specialist after all

probably not, but as I said he won't get much better. you expect him to reach 100pts per season?
kids improving should make them better, but not good enough. not this year. maybe in 2-3 years. like I said, we wait. and we wait.

No, I dont expect 100 points from Domi but then again I didn't even expect 50 from him last year.... and the debate is not whether they'll be a cup contender but will they be good enough to challenge for a playoff spot... and to me, it's an obvious yes

well, if challenging for the 8th spot is good enough for you...
you must be much younger than I am I guess

Chara didn't have the injury history Weber's had. Even so, he's played pretty well for a guy on the wrong side of 30 who missed 80 games the last two seasons.

That's not what I'm saying at all, its a process and the best we can realistically hope for is continuing progress

And I am younger but I dont think it's by that much

Weber's injury history?

You mean one important injury in his whole career?

Gtfo Bingo.
