It’s because the relationship has gotten comfortable, the only solution is for more snarl n grit.

Sometimes smaller players can use leverage to stay on their skates when the hitting picks up and games get tight. The book is out on Sheary. Dude get's knocked off the puck like a child. If the Zambonie breaks down, he's your man. People in Pittsburgh act like he's some great loss with his 2 playoff goals in his last 34 games. A lot of that time was flubbing shots on the top line with Crosby. |

The worst possible thing just happened. Ovi went down very awkwardly during #Caps scrimmage. He screamed in pain. It took a couple of teammates to help him off the ice.
Wasn’t putting any pressure on left leg as he left the ice. The silence in here was palpable. |

Oh, Sheary was a missed opportunity for roster surgery?

Risto is more of a natural RW, but I bet he could play the left side for them |

Ovi's career is clearly over. They'd be lucky to get Sheary straight up |

Still wish we had another legit 2C as the trickle down effect makes us deeper. That being said if we still have Risto (I like him personally) our Blueline is vastly improved.
I would love to see more balance up and down the line-up
Skins - Jack - Olofsson
Johanson - Mitts - Reinhart
Vesey - Rodrigues - Sheary
Girgs - Larsson (Asplund) - Okposo
Dahlin - Miller
Scandella - Montour (Scandella can bounce back with contract year/Kruger/Role)
McCabe - Risto
Prime Joki and Pilut/Borgen for bigger roles next year with departures of Bogo and Scandella.
I think Sheary should respond well with contract year. We have one more year to go before this is really GMJBs team. The outgoing contracts and Youth he has brought in to replace them should set us up nicely long term |

I'm not a Sherry fan, but I'm ok with him as the 3RW if it comes down to it.
I certainly don't want anything to do with Tage in this lineup until he shows improvement in his game. Specifically, much stronger on the puck and board battles, and driving the net. Until then, sit in Roch in the bus.
I am hoping that Routsolainen shows something causing him to stick with the big club on the right side...so pulling for him hard. Maybe that shrimp can be our Kole Muffler man!
Package Sheary and Risto, hold $3m and get a solid RW for the top line with Jack.
C'mon Botts, get Stevie Y on the phone, make that deal for Anthony Mantha! |

I agree with this. Tage has shown so far he can't play effective NHL hockey. IMO he gets one more chance, and it would be better to give him that chance later than right now.
Routsolainen is really intriguing to me because he already has played pro hockey. I think he could be a double digit scorer for the team.
Unfortunately Sobodka, Larsson, Okposo, Sheary, and Girgs are basically blocking half the forward spots on the team. I would really understand keeping Larsson to center the fourth line, but I'd feel so much better about this team if Routsoleinen, CJ Smith, Cozens, Oglevie, Asplund, Pekar, and Curtis Lazar were fighting for two spots. Right now the prospect challenge and training camp just feel like going through the motions. |

Great take from writers at Deadspin (this in the context of the Miami Dolphins):
Tanking is like taking a Greyhound bus cross-country. Sure, it may eventually get you where you want to go, but it’s messy and unpleasant and uncomfortable, it stinks, the entire time you’ll be wishing you weren’t there, and not everybody along for the ride is going to make it to the end. |
