Pretty much same here

There’s just no point.

If I was forced to move there over something I would probably love it.

But I just don’t see the point in getting up and going just because it fits my lifestyle more.

i've got a lot of relatives in england and i feel like i'd transition really well there since i love the history (and i hate our winters) but got dang brexit kills any serious interest i might have in moving there.

I don’t know what it is but the British accent annoys the hell out of me

I’m sure I would get used to it.

I'm just a grumpy Gen-Xer, but the damn kids today don't know how to carry on a conversation in a social setting, because they won't put down their franking phones.

What's the point in going to lunch together if you aren't talking to each other?

- Atomic Wedgie

personally haven't really noticed this as a problem but maybe it's more of a younger person thing?

random somewhat related thought: i love how fast bets can be settled by a quick google these days.

Your entitled to your own opinion but I disagree.

It was an eye opener in Europe for me.

I’ve been making an effort not to ask ever since and it’s been great.

- Santo_44

Unless ive joined a new sports team, ive never heard it brought up much.
Nor do i care if someone ask me.

I’m not saying this is a Richardish way - have you ever thought of leaving and loving to Europe? I’ve always entertained the idea, but I don’t think I’d do it.

My 100lb dog would make the move “interesting”

- RickJames77

Not really, no.

Marner and his crew are making these negotiations seem rather pointless.

Hoefully the Leafs explore the trade market.

No one player is bigger than the franchise.

Trade someone else to make room. Or better yet pay out Ceci as a bonus so he can be traded to a cap floor team, and they can do whatever they want with him, opening a spot for a young d man and or one of the other cheap FA pickups.

Sure some people.

Some people it can be hours.

But you are missing a big point here, and how asking the question can effect a connection you are trying to make with a new person.

- Santo_44

Sometimes asking about someone’s work helps open up conversations by giving them an opportunity to talk a bit about something they feel comfortable talking about. But starting a first conversation asking somebody anything about themselves is a,ways better than talking about yourself

Asking people about their pets is good too.

Also I like to ask people about their religious beliefs even though you're not supposed to.

Quinn might have traded Marner. Still might be a good idea.

We have Ceci for one year, let's give him a chance before fans run him out of town.
