Sometimes asking about someone’s work helps open up conversations by giving them an opportunity to talk a bit about something they feel comfortable talking about. But starting a first conversation asking somebody anything about themselves is a,ways better than talking about yourself

Again, there are people out there like me and like you.

I just disagree, like Mussel said it is basically a way of telling someone your salary which is a personal thing the majority of people don’t like to share. Especially with someone you just met.

And why do you need to talk about work to feel
comfortable with someone? I think that right there is something I find an issue with.

Also it’s just where we live, where social hierarchies is a big thing. And if it’s a CEO talking to a janitor then one might feel more significant or less than the other.

You don’t have to agree, I’ve just experienced the other side of this and I much prefer it. I’ve made better connections with people because of it. So I’m happy with my stance on it and you are welcome to disagree or agree.

Quinn might have traded Marner. Still might be a good idea.

We have Ceci for one year, let's give him a chance before fans run him out of town.

- Leafsandbolts

I don't blame Ceci, but the club could have very easily handled things better, and gave themselves wiggle room. Why they didn't is mystery.

Hopefully he can sit with his grief feelings around the loss of Connor Brown and realize that this too shall pass. He's acting out to avoid those painful abandonment feelings.

I’m ok if we agree or disagree but I just want to clarify that I’m not proposing that I talk about myself and where I fall on the social hierarchy. My point is to encourage someone else to talk about themselves. It certainly doesn’t have to be about work. It could be about pets like Zezel suggested or kids or music.

I’m retired so telling people that sometimes just pisses people off. Before I retired I worked in government in a job that was hard to explain and people tend to hate government so there was added incentive to not talk about what I did.

Not keeping him per say, but not allowing some wiggle room cap wise.

If what you're saying is true, which it is, that's just dumb.

And make most of Year 3 in bonus money, so that he is lockout-protected.

There was talk of this last week, but marners camp was asking for 14-15 million in the last year. Apparently there is some percentage you can’t come under so his next contract would’ve been starting at 12.5 million.

Rumours but it seems to go along with what his apparent asks have been.

As I've said all along. He wants exactly what Matthews got. They are over a million shy in cap space to make it happen. I would imagine if they wanted him longer than 5, he would be asking for more than 11.6 per year.

Gardiner might never be the same. He looked awful once he got hurt. As for ceci....if Rielly made hainsey into a plus 30 dman, I wonder what he can do for ceci. Don't you wish your hawks had a rielly?
