No, I was pretty bothered by him telling to people to kill themselves so I kind of just antagonized him (poorly tried to ). Maybe that wasn't the best course of action in hindsight.

Not to beat a dead horse, but look at Meier's contract. They have to qualify him and the salary in his last year is 10M so he'll be getting a one year deal that pays him north of that, which also walks him to UFA. It seems to be how teams are keeping these guys' cap hit down for a few years and will pay the piper later.

Nope, Tampa is pretty quiet about contracts. Perhaps everyone is waiting as AW suggested to understand players cba stance. Structuring the contract in bonus money or backend loaded could be the sticking point (couldn't resist).

I think the Lightning might miss Point more than the Leafs miss Marner if they don't sign before the season starts.
