Marner is worth 11million on a 5y deal.

For backloaded contracts, you can't go up by more than 100% from the previous year.

he's been GM for CSKA in KHL for 6 years now..
he knows the NHL due to his player experience - and all NHL knows and respects him as well.
He'll be a very good GM in NHL soon.
