Sanheim outscored Provorov by 30 ESP to 24 in 223 fewer ES minutes.

And outscored him 5 PPP to 2 in 43 fewer PP minutes.

Sanheim got 2 years at $3.25m.

Feel free to use these talking points in negotiations, Chuck.

Im going glass half full....at least in a short run delay, Myers and Morin get more regular pairing minutes to see what we have there and if they can outperform Braun and make him a potential trade option.

Did the Flyers get eliminated from the Playoffs yet?

You can use these as facts but Provorov sees the toughest opponents, had an outstanding career season the year prior and the kid logs the most minutes of any player on the team. Provorov and Sanheim are defensemen. Not everything is about points...but if everything about the game was about points, overall, Provorov still wins.

I don't see it that way and if you think Provorov is going to sign for 3.25m then that is insanity.

Apparently Provy is in south jersey working out. Perhaps a deal will happen very soon

Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Provy pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

as much as i would love to see Frost and/or Farabee make the team out of camp, i think i'm more excited to see the Farabee-Frost-Ratcliffe line in the AHL for a bit. i think these guys could be dominant together sooner rather than later.

haven't had time to backread. I've been too busy trying to run my car in reverse to roll back the mileage that was driven on my Ferrari before my dad kills me to see if Provy signed yet. Has he?

Could be the Flyers' top-line in the not so distant future.

my attempt at a future line up

Giroux-Couts-TK
Farabee-Frost-Ratcliffe
Lindblom/JVR-Hayes(ew)-Patrick(meh)
Raffl-Misha-Laughton

Sanheim-Myers
Provy-Ghost
Zamula-Hagg/Morin

Hart
Sandstrom

i guess Voracek got lost somewhere in there but we'll need to make some cap space some how. ideally JVR and/or Hayes(unlikely) could get moved out. alternatively, trade Patrick and slot Rafcliffe in on the 3rd line and keep Voracek on the 2 RW. Raffl is another guy who would be fairly easy to replace. just kinda spitballing at this point though.

Only mentioning it because first part of summer he was traveling, then he was training in Russia and I dont think he's been local for some time. And just yesterday/today his agent & co said they were closest to a contract than they've been in weeks.

Good to hear. I'm not worried about it. And I feel the same about Konecny too.

I'm not worried either, these guys are RFAs coming off rookie deals, they will be offered a fair deal and will most likely take it. If either were to hold out i would think much differently of them.

If I told you Kevin Labanc was going to sign a 1 year deal at 1 million you would have called that insanity to right?

Werenksi and Labanc are comparable to Provorov and Konecny.

just curious here, why do you say ew to hayes? I would think this lineup would be the maybe, 2021-22 lineup at the earliest, but lets just say its the 2022-23 lineup. Hayes will only be 30, he may very well still be a productive center, on a cap hit that continues to be less of a % of the cap each and every year the cap goes up. Who knows, he could be one of the top 3rd line centers in the game at that point and just adds to our embarrassment of riches. its possible for sure.

We will use Labanc as the comp for Konecny. How's that sound?

he had to have some other "promises" in the background that no one but him and the sharks will know about. guy goes from 20 points to 40 points (added 5 points in 10 games in his first playoff action as well) to 56 points and had himself another solid playoff and only signs for 1 mil? and only a 1 yr extension no less. something was definitely fishy about it and still is.

yeah you make a good point, more of a recency bias thing on my end. he could end up being an excellent 3C at that point in time. and with the cap probably rising fairly signifigantly by then, the cap hit would become less of a problem.
