Dreger reports Morrissey signing 8 years 6.25 aav

These guys all waited this long to sign these reasonable deals?

Not "going out of my way" to belittle you. Just asking what there was to be "very disappointed about" from Frost. He played well overall last night -- not a perfect game, by any means, but made numerous good plays -- and it's only a one-game sample regardless.

Rubtsov played a strong game. Has nothing to do with Frost, though.

Well thank you for this response because anytime anyone says “what pray tell...” within their response, I feel like it’s being hinted that I don’t know what I’m talking about.

I guess I’m trying not to get ahead of myself. I felt Myers was without Exaggeration a monster last night. I felt German Rubtsov had a very strong game and this is coming from a guy who was down on the pick and down on his development to date. I like Sandström’s first half. I felt Farabee was the best player on his line.

With this said, I don’t wanna give out too many Participation awards in a rookie game, where we Collapsed in the third. I also said Frost was good last night but my disappointment comes from not being one of my top three players in last night’s game. Frost wasn’t the best player on his line nor the best center to play for the Flyers last night.

I apologize for my original reaction.

Ek is using all caps in his subject header, I feel like that makes it more realistic! Lol

Without a doubt this is the best time of year. Let's go Flyers!!

I also feel like the Clown and 2Real are just sitting there some place, wringing their hands like Mr. Burns just waiting for the Flyers to sign Provy to a contract they feel isn't the correct amount or term or whatever thing they will admittedly hate about it.

yes just a rookie game but what i saw...I feel now that german could easily be the third line rw and if pitlick doesn't start the year with the flyers due to injury we will see vorobyev as well. Both looked good last night especially on the pk. And both had some nice takeaways.

I am fully comfortable with frost, ratcliffe and farabee being the go to guys in the ahl. More minutes and responsibilities. I see farabee as the first call up but will need a few months similar to claude when he started.

Yes agree with the previous statement of turcotte and murray running around. With that said i feel they played their game well as a bunch of our players were looking for turcotte over their shoulder. I wish i could watch more phantom games as i feel this would've been addressed by some of our other players. Once the season starts they can do that all the want knowing anderoff, gabriel, twarynski and others will answer.

I don’t know if I’m the clown but I have a much higher expectation of Ivan Provorov and what he’s done at the age of 22 then I do for Kevin Hayes who is a second line center at best, third line center at worst. The other day someone tried to make JvR comparison to Hayes but realistically JvR has two 60 plus seasons under his belt and is still a potential 40 goal scorer. So I’m fine with JvR cashing in.

I really can't see what could be holding TKs up. It's pretty cut and dry and I'm sure there is a fair offer in place bridge or semi long term. NMC?

it is that time of the month...

It was one game, the big camp we will see how it shakes out...

I wouldn't mind Ruby be 3rw

he is still using a translator, I find that odd, maybe it is just with the press and he doesn't want to misstep.

Don't sleep on Vorobyev

I know learning English was slow for him Ruby

Bill any insight?

agreed

TK's personality does lend to this however, just an observation from what has been reported, he is a pest on the ice, real confident and a joker...

that personality can be a little demanding or needy

You know that hockey players mostly just leave it up to their agents, right?

That's misleading. They leave the negotiations to their agents but players have and do say what they want and what they're looking for in a new deal and what they'll accept. Certainly a lot of that is based on the advice of their agent but it's not just left to the agents. I know you said mostly but players have significant input.

It's just funny that people make these negotiations a reflection on Marner (and now TK's) personal character. Three guys in a room, two have suits on and one's a hockey player who may or may not have a HS diploma. Which two guys do you think are driving the conversation on particulars?

If you ask a player about these RFA negotiations, most of them are saying "if something is close, my agent will let me know, until then, I'm not gonna worry".

Is Therrien or Yeo with forwards?
TK better pray it's Yeo, else it's back in the dog house.
