The academy likes to give awards to actors who have put the years in. It's like when Leo won for the Revenant. Arguably not his finest performance, but he was "due."

Joaquin has paid his dues. It's possible he gets the win if he's as good as he looks in the trailers. He'll at least get a nomination imo

He is an excellent actor. That's what bums me out about the comic book movies - they pay so much that they end up taking all of the good actors. Phoenix has done a ton of phenomenal movies that most people never see.

One of those two individual's chance is getting slimmer based on his overall W-L record and lack of understanding that you feed a back consistently when he's averaging 7.0 YPC. I'm not naming names, but his initials are Pat Shurmur.

If Eichel played with Skinner and Laine he wouldn’t touch the puck in the offensive zone. It would be utter chaos. Just two guys shooting the puck from anywhere as soon as they cross the opposing teams blueline. Eichel would have to go end to end just to score an even strength goal.

I was listening to the Instigators today, Pety said that Jack stated he has been working on his shot alot this summer, stating that he feels he should and can score more.

He has the range of a mannequin.

And i'm a fan of his movies.

Mitts looks bigger so that's a good sign. Hopefully he isn't pushed around as much or isn't afraid to battle in the corners.
