Had to carry this over. On the topic of Cozens. Gerbe can drop truth bombs, sometimes. - BeadyEyedDouche
I haven’t seen anyone post that we should just throw cozens in the lineup just because.
I think ppl just want to give him a shot in preseason and if that goes well the 9 games at the start of the season, I wouldn’t say that’s rushing at all.
If he can’t handle it he goes to juniors, if he excels then great he stays up and the Sabres are better for it. I dont really see any downside whatsoever to keep him up for at least his 9 games.

I don't think it's rushing him if as soon as he looks overmatched he's back to Junior, if he can hang through the preseason, then that's great. Then send him down to play big minutes in Junior and develop his game, with an eye towards the things the Sabres told him to work on. He's not staying up w/Sabres unless he's totally tearing it up.

That’s totally fair I just don’t get the idea that even giving him a shot, be it preseason or the first 9 of the regular season is rushing him and will somehow stunt his development.
If he shows he belongs keep him up, if not send him down with a better knowledge of what it takes to play in the nhl.
I have a bias against people who just plain feel like they're entitled to not work simply because of age or time spent within a workplace.
America, right now, is stagnant and toxic. There is no denying this. And no need to explain or delve into why, because we all know what's going on in this country and world - massive civil unrest.
The "if you don't like it, you can leave" attitude is worn out, to be quite honest. I like hearing it from the captain of the Buffalo Sabres when a cry-ass team mate wants to leave because the grass is greener on the other side. Not from those who accept complacency and mediocrity. God forbid I expect people and institutions to be better and healthier to interact with?
The same attitude applies to Buffalo sports. People constantly attack anyone who actively criticizes what has been an awful product, and a mediocre one before that, for a few decades now. The Bills and Sabres. We want results, not promises and flaunting of wealth. The turnover within both organizations is borderline insanity. And the fan-base blindly follows. Circle the wagons, indeed - we truly are a fair-weather, band-wagon fan-base for the most part. - BeadyEyedDouche
Sounds like an personal issue you have at your workplace.
And as for the Buffalo sports take, it's sports. Nothing more, nothing less.

Your insufferability is showing
Couple of things:
1- Keep you societal views out of a hockey blog. God, Trump and all else outside is strictly forbidden, keep your socialistic views to yourself.
2 - you have revealed yourself as a discriminatory individual. Hating on those who have contributed a great deal throughout their lives is weak at best. What does that say about you as an employee/worker if you can't beat out the old deadwood. Jesus, you sound like a complete loser. Imagine if Asplund complained about not getting a gig with the Sabres because they kept your boy Larry! We would all laugh hysterically. Compete, win, or step aside.
3 - from your post, the take away is that you seem to be an entitled brat. Give me, give me...I'm here, I should run the show. Years of Participation Trophy's have destroyed you. Showing up in s the minimum expectation. Winning the competition is the challenge laid before you. Go take the job away, holy crap. You rail on older people who actually had to wait, learn, then prove themselves...they EARNED the trust...you seem to expect it to be handed to you. Here is something all your coaches never said to you...(frank) off you little-self entitled brats, get real, lol.
Now, about Cozens...
Let him compete. If he wins, he gets a job. If he doesn't he goes back to work on things that caused him to fall short.
I know that is foreign to all you Bernue-socialist lovers.

I LEARNED IT FROM YOU, DAD! - jcragcrumple
Yah.
I don't think so.
3 sons who were at the top of their respective classes and absolutely kicking ass in their careers.
None of them are crying about being stuck, they went through 5 - 7 years of college/Grad School and are exceling in their respective professions ... all different...
-Air Traffic Controller/Major in Army Reserves/Blackhawk Pilot w 2 Tours in Middle East leading his Company
- Pharmacist/Pharmacy Manager...hopefully soon to add Store Manager
- Attorney (early in his career)
I am very proud of what they learned from their 4 parents.
But thanks, try again.
