Seems right for a bridge. 7.3+ to qualify. Good for both.

To get out from Zaitsev's 5 years remaining on the deal is a massive plus. That was a big waste. Especially with him being used completely different than the year that got him that deal.

People will conviently leave the contract years out. Zaitsev making 4.5 wasn't the big issue at all. Him getting 7 years was crazy.

Four players earning a total of 40M. Each of them forwards. Is it possible to win the Cup with ten players making under 800,000? No first round picks the next two seasons. Three of the top four d-men on expiring contracts. Is it accurate to say this season is crucial for Kyle Dubas's employment with the Leafs?

Barrie is not gone soon. 16 million minimum to sign him.

Leafs need to spend 3 million on 4th liners. That's the key to having a great team!

Maybe that tragic event with Hana Engel has played a roll in some of Cody's on ice issues. I know it would have messed me up big time. We don't know a thing about what type of person he is and how something like that could affect him.

The telling sign of a truly putrid team like the Canucks is that they have absolutely no concerns going into the Seattle Expansion draft. They will have 3 or max 4 players that are worth protecting.
