I always felt it was the effort that was being punished, not the mistakes.

As I said, I'm not comparing him to the Twins. But they had a LONG leash. High skilled players quite often look like they aren't putting the effort in, ie, not hitting, missing on the backcheck, etc. I'm not promoting lazy play, but you can't treat a young skilled player like Goldy like you would a Gaunce. Talk to him, yell at him, Pressbox if you have to for a game. But to have him or any player sit for weeks in the rafters watching does not help him. That's just my opinion.
Treating a thoughbred like a draft horse will just kill the horse.

I saw the OT goal. Did some D work before intercepting a pass and off the races.

It always looks like Jake makes strides on and off the ice. Just very small ones.
