Pre-season sucks
I like Miller, good passer. Goldy was good but doesn’t fit on that line and I feel like it’s going to cost him. - 1970vintage
Pre-season sucks, but it's great to start seeing hockey highlights on sports news again.

Was a fun night, great to see hockey again, especially without having to take a ferry.
The Linds and Gaudettes got plenty of ice. Was funny to see Jasek as a C, but he’s pretty tenacious, so I’d love to see that experiment continue in Utica. Rafferty made one great defensive play in front of his net to save a goal, skated well, but isn’t processing the play quick enough yet. Lots of bad decisions. But, he’s probably the next guy to make the jump.
The other guys that they signed, Bailey etc, not NHL players.
Bo coasted most of the night. Miller was good, not as physical as I anticipated.
DiPi is really small. He’s a long shot to ever get a sniff in the show. So easy to beat him high. |

True but still ugly as poop. The 50 year patch is really bad.
I'm glad we get a few games with the skate and a few with the rink this year. |

There's some guys with NHL upside, but they need time in the A. I imagine the same is true for the crew that was in Calgary. I think Lind and Gaudette will play together a bunch this year. Could be 3rd line guys down the road. I’m no scout for sure, but you can see the guys who get it and those who don’t pretty clearly. |

If the Canucks make the playoffs, and make some noise, is Benning the best GM in team history? Took a bottom 5 team and rebuilt it in what 5 years? |

Make some noise meaning win a playoff round this year and keep it competitive in round 2? Yeah, he'd go from whipping boy to local hero next year. |

Second best Loui ever - carsonagenic
My Buddy's Daughter took her 3 kids to camp yesterday, so he asks his Daughter to get him an autograph, you guessed it Eriksson. I laughed my guts out when he showed it to me 2 hrs ago, I'm still chuckling. |

Brock Boeser joins quite the list of Canucks with 3 years left on their contract:
Loui Eriksson
Antoine Roussel
Jay Beagle
Roberto Luongo
- NorthNuck
That's what makes it a great deal, lots of money off the books to re-sign him. Hopefully it's not 10 mil by then |

I don't see any issue between him and Green, I see a coach getting through to a kid and having high expectations. Good. |

Ferland Bo Miller
True alpha line - belcherbd
Ferland has been with EP the entire camp, very little chance this combo happens. At least out of the gate anyway, if they lose a bunch maybe, but that's a bit of a slow line with very similar player types. |

He hates Green though - Nucker101
Who cares if he hates Green? It's his coach, not his friend or teammate. As long as he's taking in what Green is saying, and he's improving because of it, doesn't really matter too much. I wonder how many players love Bilichik?
(Not that I'm relating Green and Bilichik, just saying you can hate your coach and still win/improve.) |

Jasek plays smart out there.
I thought Brisebois played better than raffy.
Overly disappointed in what I saw from Bailey last night the way some talked him up.
Miller is a bigger body and use his size but more the same way as Bo, protecting the puck. He's not like Ferland or JV.
I think I said the same thing about MD after his first game. It might be his last ever. If he does well this season. I'd probably sell high on him. |

Miller looks solid. Him and Bo on a line are going to be tough to play against for sure.
Dipietro is a tough one. You’d think if he was so easy to beat up high, players would have already exploited that in the OHL or wherever he plays. Of course, quality of opponent, but he’s also young and has a lot to grow/experience. He’s only an inch shorter than Jonathan Quick, and plays a similar acrobatic style. Going to be an interesting year for him in the AHL. |
