There's just not a lot of guys who do that over their first couple of years. Meier is the cheapest comparible at 6 mil, but he didn't have Brock's kind of production over two years. He had a breakout deal so they were able to bridge him and get a great value, but he could take them in arbitration and be a young UFA at 27 years old. 3 or 6+ year deal would be good. 3x6.5-7 or 6x8-8.5 something like that would be great

Yes, I'd imagine that may be the hold up too. Canucks would like to maintain control. It's too bad, but hopefully they an figure something out soon that's in the middle. 6 years of control is only one year more and seems like a good middle ground, but hard to say where it will go.

That's what I think too, but I was just pointing out if you think he will not now may be the time. I certainly don't think that, I think 30g/70points is a conservative estimate of an 82 game year.

I don't know man, Anahiem probably would rather have Kes on the IR than take on LE. Not sure that will ever be tradeable contract.

I think Benning has pretty much on gone record saying that they tried to trade LE this summer and couldn't find a deal so they're bringing him back for 1 more year(hopefully to Utica though).

After about a week without much communication, hearing that the dialogue has picked up between the Canucks and Brock Boeser’s camp over the past 24 hours. Who knows where it leads but at least there’s dialogue.

When there was an attitude issue around LE waivers seemed more likely now it would take stand out play by a fringe player to make that reality.

My guess is Sven and Goldy make the roster. JV or Leivo are the extra forward.

Who has a chance to beat out LE for roster: Motte, Schaeler, MacKewen, Bailey?
