I should have specified the 7aav part. Not the 3 years at 7. This deal is great, but I still would have preferred him locked long term - Codes1087
I’m with Vantel on this one. I don’t think that Brock has done enough to justify a long term deal. I love this contract. |

I’d give it at B, an A would’ve been locking him up long term for 8M-ish
But this is about as good as I would’ve hoped for on a bridge. I wish he negotiated as well with UFA’s as he does with his own players lol |

I have no interest in that game lol, that roster just killed my hype. I’ll wait for 7PM - Nucker101
4 periods of Canucks flames tonight. Why not.
Jonny flung a puck from along the boards, above the circle. Yup. Shots 13-0 Cgy haha |

If the rumor of 6x7aav being offered and declined, that I cant fault benning for trying. That would have been an absolute steal |

I understand that thinking. I think with the cap going up, locking him at 7 over 6 years will be crazy value in the second half of the contract rather than him making over 8.25 in year 4 and beyond. Truth be told though, I think hes going to be a top line productive player for a super long time, which is why I guess I was always leaning more so long term |

If they weren't hit with Luongo's cap recapture then they could have done the long term deal in that range. At least that comes off the books when BB needs to be resigned. |

They could have given Brock 8 mil this year, it is obvious Canucks were not interested in that. |

Wow lower AAV than i thought for Boeser, even if it's only 3 years. Not bad JB. |

Good kid. Good deal. I don’t like deals over 5years or less that 3 for his age and what he has done so far. Which is all excellent but 2 years in the league is a small sample size. |

Being a Canuck fan I’m pessimistic by nature. I’d rather not make too many long term bets. Obviously EP is an exception.
