I'm probably late to the dance on this but just heard about Marner's 10.8"93" - a shout out to Dougie G......nice.

Dougie tweeted him saying he caught that. 👀

I gotta figure out what to do about TV this year. I'm paying like 122 bucks a month for Rogers just for TV and it's BS we never watch (outside of HBO, but GoT is done, so whatever).

Does anyone have NHL center-ice? Will I get blacked out in Ontario for Leafs broadcasts?

- gravyface

Did you have the NHL package with your Rogers subscription? We had it as a promo with our phones for 2-3 years, and it was pretty sweet (I was crushed when it went away last year!). It's about $150 for the season, though, so it's not cheap. I haven't had Centre Ice in years, so I don't know how much it costs. If you have a good internet connection and a Chromecast device, it's a pretty decent setup. The quality of the stream was excellent.

The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed restricted free agent Brock Boeser to a three-year deal, the team announced Monday.

The deal carries an average annual value of $5.875 million.

The 22-year-old scored 29 goals across 62 games in 2017-18 and followed up his rookie campaign with 26 goals in 69 games last season.

I always take the early bird deal on centre ice and I think it's 199. Around 225 regular price.

I wish Marner's cap hit/salary was a bit lower too, but to be fair, with your comparison to Boeser, don't forget it's 6 years to 3 years. And Boeser isn't as good as Marner.

Signing your best goal scorer to a bridge deal cause you got too much money tied up in mediocre players and zombie caphits....

....I'd say that contract is priceless.

Any insight on Rogers gamecentre? Always bought centre ice but thinking of making the switch this year for ability to stream games on the road.
- joel878

Nah man, sorry.

I don't/haven't had that.

Not a fan of 3 years at all in term. There's issues with arbitartion in the 4th year and the ability to walk to UFA

That arby QO can bite you in the ass too, which is why the Queefs didn't want that with Ritch Marner.

They're bridge deals. Much different.

But I agree, Leafs slightly overpaid both Matthews and Marner.

These are all 3 year deals; Boeser's 7.5M on his 3rd year means his qualifying offer is gonna be beaucoup, son.

His body of work is beating up on lesser competition as a very good third pair defender. Half the teams in the league have a guy like that. I think he's better than that, but it hasn't been proven. The fanbases of half said teams feel the same way about their guy.
