Honestly, I don't think as many people would complain because it would be what is expected of him. When the leafs drafted him, they made a huge deal how he will for sure be the 3rd line center and it's 100% he gets there. Now he's struggling to even keep the 4th line spot.

If he was drafted in the 4th and played that many games, I think most on here would be happy about it.

Matthews also has the best shot in the league and works on changing up his release point every summer so goalies can't get used to what he's doing.

Boeser will benefit from Pettersson though so I think he's guaranteed to be a 30g/30a player.

It's hard to say on a weaker team. Pettersson is an elite talent from what I've seen of him, Boeser very good but not close to that level. Leivo is a third liner that can probably score 20 on the Nucks -(top five for them maybe) , don't imagine he would be anything but a marginal 4th liner on the leafs.

Imagine how good Kessel would be if he actually tried. Coliacovo said on 1050 during the lockout shortened season that it looked like hockey wasn't coming back, so Kessel stopped practicing and went golfing/fishing for a month. Came back just before season was supposed to start up.

Not sure about the sum of the parts but I read that he is the fastest skater at camp. Sounds like Coach might like the theory of Mik-Ker-Kap as a speedy puck hounding type line.
