League-wide, the slapshot is dead.

Which is a shame.

Looking forward to watching the D tonight.

Who the fu k is Duskak. And, can't wait to hear Don Cherry say it.

Shea Weber and a few others disagree. But with these new stickers they get it away so fast and hard with a wrister. Slappers have definitely declined.
- bixll

yup.
that Komarov Shorthanded breakout slapshot i just posted was kinda nice though.

almost as nice as this Nylander slapshot from the blueline: https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ

$849,999 for a 6 bedroom, 6 bath, 9,611 sq. ft. home, 3 km walk to the Mile One Centre.

The woodwork is crazy.

Mind you, if I'm moving to St. John's, I'm getting a condo right downtown. I'm not getting a house with a driveway I have to shovel for 9 months of the year.

I'd rather take the 17 acres we own on a lake just outside of Yarmouth and build a new place for $400K. WAY WARMER down there

Anyone got a lineup for tonight?

Apparently the game is on TSN tonight. That's cray-cray.

But I love it.

Someone mentioned Jason allison...while he was slow, I never understood why he never got to play again. Former ppg player...misses 3 years of hockey and comes back and puts up 60 points in 66 games on the 2nd line. Like 3 years away from the game of course you are going to be slow when you get back. Ah well.

I don't know. My problem with Gauthier never had anything to do with my expectations of him from his draft position. Once you're out of the top 10, the expectations change anyway. My problem with Gauthier is that he is a poor skater, is a big man who plays small, has bad hands, and a below average shot - especially for a big guy. He clogs the lanes well, and isn't afraid to battle for the puck, which is good. But again, for a guy of his size and strength, he loses more battles than he wins.

The only reason he kept getting shots as the 4C is because he's inexpensive and he's tall. He's not very good.

- Monkeypunk

The reason he kept playing last year was because every time he was healthy scratched, the 4th line was atrocious.

He's not an overly good player by any means but he made the 4th line better.

This half lineup has better c depth than a few nhl teams with full roster

Thing is, if they want bracco in that role, putting him with Brooks and marchment isnt going to show all too well.
- mykokes

If Bracco doesn't make the Leafs, that line should be the Marlies top line.

Apparently he wasn't getting good offers even after his 60 point season and did not want to play for so little.

There was this idea despite the 60 points he was one-dimensional and hurt his line.

Glad marner made it clear he did not want to miss any games.
Gud pro, gud team player.

Should be fun tonight.

If we win.
If we lose....the season is a write off.

Obviously, the two supposed offer sheets are being angled to make it look like Mitch wanted to be a Leaf for a long time. Whether these offer sheets actually existed or not, Ferris did his job for his client.

Also, hoping Barrie can give Toronto that big point shot on the PP. Too many times the Buds were focused down low and the cross ice pass to Matthews on the PP. Teams would collapse down low, since Reilly doesn't have a bomb from the point.

- WendelClark82

They existed. Dubas was aware of one of them as gm reached out to him

Great passing, really good shot if he'd ever actually shoot it, and the goofiest laugh of all time.

Heard an interview the other day of him saying there was no way he could’ve came to the leafs from the sens. Said he needed that 5 year buffer in Dallas for it to work.

Also he said he hates the Bruins.
