Well, Brassard is a career 48.2% FO guy. So maybe not him? - JohnScammo
Casey is our best and he’s 50% at best lifetime.
Although remember FOs aren’t important |

He ruined him, Halak and Greiss single handily. Kind of what he did to the Islanders as a team and organization. |

UPDATE: #NHLJets defenceman Dustin Byfuglien is believed to be using his time away from the team to ponder his #NHL future according to @TSNBobMcKenzie. There is no timetable for a decision. https://t.co/PpYLc9D9hw #TSNHockey https://t.co/w98KlUHxJb
Let's hope he retires and we send them leddy |

He was probably sent home after physicals. He probably came into camp fat and sloppy after a phil kessel summer training. |

Agreed. Physical strength is definitely the area in noticeable need of improvement. But his pace of play and decision-making seemed NHL-ready, at least in that really small sample size. It's a tough call...last night kind of reinforced what you all have been talking about...the AHL is really the perfect landing spot for him, but that's off the table, unfortunately.
I don't know that juniors will do anything for his game other than allow him some more time to bulk up a little. Playing in the NHL will give him the challenge he needs to keep pushing his game forward, but if he gets knocked around in his own zone, that will cost the team points. Based on last night, I'd lean toward giving him the nine-game look and going from there. |

If he doesn't stick the Isles would be smart to let him sign overseas and play against men. There's nothing left for him in juniors. Like Trotz pointed out, he's likely to get lazy and develop bad habits because he's head-and-shoulders better than the competition he's playing against. |

Well that’d open up a (frank) tonne of cap space for them.
And they wouldn’t want Leddy. Losing Buff, Myers and Trouba gutted their RH D.
Give them Boychuk instead. |

Going to Europe would be better for him as opposed to Juniors. To be fair the isles aren’t winning the cup this year. Until they address the points lost by Tavares they aren’t a cup contender IMO. Why not let him play at the NHL level and grow with the team. He’s got it offensively. Just my 2 cents |

Keeping in mind what the Blues did last year, I’m not discounting anyone anymore.
Just gotta get to the dance. See where things go from there. |

I mean I'd prefer he makes the team, on merit, for sure. It's a sticky situation since he's not AHL eligible. In a perfect world, he'd be the #1 defenseman get all-situation minutes in Bridgeport until he either forced the Isles hand for a call-up or someone goes down.
There's arguments to be made on both sides re: getting 3rd pair minutes and the occasional scratch with the Isles vs. going to a Euro league and playing bigger minutes, but one thing I think everyone unilaterally agrees that his days playing in junior should be over no matter what. |

The blues had their #91. The isles do not and never replaced those points. That’s not a small thing. |
