Dobson getting a ton of ice again which leads me to believe they want to see as much as possible if they are gonna ship leddy or hickey out. |

Jimmy Howard was amazing at the end. Dobson is gonna be a great dman as his body matures. |

Based on various comments, I am thinking he's here to stay, even if it's only as a 7-8 to start the season. I think Sbisa will be let go. Dobson will be given every opportunity to win a starting role, but may start off as a sub. If a d-man gets traded, he'll move up for sure. |

Dobsons offensive abilities are undeniable...….just tape to tape all day. I thought Bellows had a real strong game. |

Bellows wasn't bad.......played a physical game. I doubt he's headed anywhere but Bridgeport to start the season, however. |

Hickey s playing well in pre season and would be easy to move for sure. Also just don’t see the longevity in Boychuk so having a vet like Hickey as # 7 might not be to bad if Dobson doesn’t stick. I think Leddy and Barzal are going to be PP1 set up men.
As far as Pre season Dobson looks ok, the 9 game look is going to be the tell tale when he plays against NHL players shift after shift imho.
I have a hard time seeing the Isles starting with 8 dman on the roster and only 13 forwards but time will tell. Tough decisions for the staff and Lou. Good decisions to have though. |

Could be but I think maybe Pulock and Toews on PP2.
Nice options to have for sure.
Watching the PP Barzal is on the opposite wall and it looks more effective to me.

I could see it. D-men seem to get injured more than forwards, especially physical d-men like Boychuk. I would not be surprised to see Dobson get kept all season. If he's got nothing left to learn in juniors other than bad habits, then they keep him, even if it means a lot of time in the presser. Sbisa gets dumped to make room for him. |

#Isles 19-year-old Noah Dobson logged 22:56 TOI including 3’ on PP.
Coach Trotz: “Every game he looks more and more comfortable. I’ve used him with three different partners (Hickey, Leddy, Pelech) to see what partner could work with him if it gets to that point.” |
