Seems like with all the chances they should have at least one pp goal

Seems like a work in process, for sure. They've hit some posts too.

You know what the Power Play is missing?

Simmonds, Schenn and Giroux/Voracek on their proper sides.

I’m not panicking at all, but can’t help but be disappointed with what I’ve seen so far.

No one has looked particularly bad this game. They definitely need to start burying some pucks on the PP. But the big takeaways I'm seeing are that Myers not only looks to be a roster lock but honestly looks like he should be getting top 4 minutes. And Frost could very well make the roster. Doesn't look at out place at all.

I don’t think Frost makes it. Maybe a late in the season call up like Giroux but I’m doubting he starts the season with the Flyers.

Maybe. It really could depend on what the ETA for Patrick is too.

Frost isn’t ready imo. The Flyers need to get rid of last seasons bad habits. They can not afford a slow start.
The offense has been anemic in three games. Basically the Bruins B team beat you on hone ice when you had a ton of power plays and your top guns playing.
Pretty unacceptable really. Yes it’s the preseason and working on a new system but a winning culture starts now not once the season starts.

Frost had a really good game and Farabee to a lesser extent. They both look good but i agree that AHL is probably best for them for now. Let them play top line minutes together and build some chemistry/confidence. Myers is going to be a beast for us.

Frost was ok, also don't think he makes it.
Myers had a rough game. Caught watching/napping on the 2nd goal, had ugly hooking penalty, and other miscues throughout.

They have the look and feel of a playoff bubble team.

Frost seemed to get better and better as the game went on. Farabee is so good. It’s very encouraging.

Our scoring better breakout on Saturday. I want to see some GOALS! That is all...except win (points be darned), just win. I want a win.

Huh. Really? I thought they were contenders. The type of team to go balls to the wall against the cap this season.

He is a complementary player, IMO. O'Reilly is the center who drives that engine. Schenn had a great first half-year with the Blues, and then fell off the map in the second half for a team that missed the playoffs. And while he had a strong playoff and came through at key times on the run to winning the Cup last season -- there are no passengers come playoff time for the team that wins it all, 5 goals and 12 points in 26 playoff games after a 17-goal, 54-point regular season --- which is in line with most of his Flyers point totals, although lower than normal on goals -- are the stats of a high-quality complementary piece but not a top dog. More to hockey than just scoring stats, and Schenn does bring physical presence and intangibles, but he's not a first-line player on a true Cup contender.

Kevin Hayes slots about the same for the Flyers now. Really nice 2C behind Couturier but I wouldn't want him as my top line center.

There's a difference between debating first and second line players versus complimentary or key players. Schenn is 3rd on that team in ice time among forwards in the regular season. In the playoffs he was 2nd in ice time among Blues forwards. Averaged more ice time per game than Tarasenko. That's a key player. A 2nd line center on a Cup winning team is a key player.
At 7M a year, Hayes better be more than just a complimentary player on this team.
