I'm here for the arguments. - jochfr
Johnny Tran wasn't the bad guy in the 1st Fast & Furious movie.
Sure, he mowed down Jesse, but Jesse shouldn't have raced for pinks if he wasn't prepared to pay the PRICE. Yeah, he also pumped motor oil into his Ted's mouth, but really, those Nissan SR20 engines were legal, so Ted probably deserved it if he couldn't source them in a reasonable time frame
Johnny just got swept up in a bunch of horse poop created by Dom and his goons |

Interesting viewpoints, does this mean that Dom was the bad guy? Perhaps it was Vince?

A Miami Dolphins linebacker said Wednesday a referee told him to be careful with his hits on New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady during their matchup over the weekend.
Dolphins linebacker Raekwon McMillan told the Miami Herald that an official told him to “Stay off Tom” after he delivered a legal hit to the quarterback Sunday.
“Tom didn’t say anything but the referee said, ‘Stay off Tom.’ I put my hands up in the air and said ‘I got you,’” McMillan said.

Dom was the bad guy, but it all could have been avoided if Kenny Lidner hadn't put dom's dad into a wall at 120 mph. Dom needed a father figure
Really it's a movie about the importance of a stable household |

Not liking that statement on Montour's injury. They said he's out for the preseason and will give us an update after preseason is over, which to me sounds like it'll be a lot longer. Why no firm timeframe now ? |

With the exception of McCabe and maybe Mitts (which I have disagreed with since the beginning of last year), that should be a Rochester line up. Not a one should touch Buffalo although we know a few will for sure.
Edit: eh, Sheary maybe in a 3rd line role? |

I am not sold that Cozens is ready yet but if he proves that he can take the beatings and play at the speed of the NHL, I'd be on board for this entire group for the season. Rooster has been very good competitively and I think he should at least get a real shot. Can they still assign Mitts to Rochester without waivers? Something tells me no due to something with his contract. He serves zero purpose as a benched player but I feel like he needs a bit more seasoning and not 100% sure Buffalo is the place for it. Just my thoughts on him...felt he didn't belong last year either.

Wouldn't usually go there but why not - I'm a few in and feeling invincible...
2013/14 stats:
Girgs: 8,14 = 22
Ennis: 21,22 = 43
Beer: 11,18 = 29
2018/19
Oki: 14,15 = 29
Mitts:12,13 - 25
Smitty: 2,0 = 2 (Roch: 28,30 - 58 = NHL pts???)

I wouldn't slow down any trade talks IF any were indeed in progress just because of an injury to a player at the same position as the targeted trade player.
Specific to this scenario with Risto in view of Montour's undesribed injury, the Sabres have available on RD without Risto:
-Jokiharju
-Miller
-Nelson
-Borgen
-McCabe can slide right
That is 5 guys...they can survive just fine even with another injury to that side.

So:
If Cozens is fast and can take a beating keep him up all year, but assign middlephat to Rochester for seasoning? Only If his contract allows?
Interesting thought. |

So I might get my wish that Joker starts the year with the big club.
Why couldn't it have been Scandella or Bogo getting hurt though. Damn. |

Yup and we may be in a very good place to make a trade now that Montour is out for an undetermined amount of time. Someone asked why they could not be more specific earlier in this thread concerning is injury. The answer - why would you tell everyone he will be back in a week when you can make them think he won't be back for two months? That makes the rest of your RD's that much less expendable including the one some want gone. Not that I think it will happen or needs to happen but keeping it close to the vest is bargaining power. |

Short term injuries should never alter trade talks. Ever.
Trades should be for the betterment of both short and long term goals. Holding up a trade cause a guy is out a few weeks is poppycock. |

Yeah... interesting indeed.
I don't think we're done with the "Interesting line combos". Once that AHL squad plays a game, a bunch will be sent down. If Cozens wants his 9 games, he needs to continue playing well. |

Once Montour was injured at the worlds, I think Botts said something about anticipating that Borgen would be able to fill in for the short term. |
