If he’s on an AHL deal can any team offer him an NHL one? I’m not sure how that works, is he stuck to he AHL deal?

He took a 3 year AHL only deal. It allows him and his family security of where they were going to be for an extended period of time. He has always been a bubble guy and the movement from team to team and in between the NHL and the A on 1 year contracts isn't something he wanted.

The Amerks will not trade him without receiving an NHL caliber piece back. Which, chances are... approximately 0.
