You're both wrong. Botterill's for sale sign clearly says "VERY RARE XL offensive defenseman. Original owner. no tire kickers. I know what I have."
- jcragcrumple

He’s so good, according to “sources” we were offered a bunch of conditional picks and bad contracts.

The hypocrisy is astounding

top golf is over rated

nothing like hitting defective balls 80% the distance they should go and play bounce the ball off of concrete

their pretzel bites are good though

- homiedclown

Exactly. It’s meh.
That on core place is going to be 250yards long, I’d imagine they’re going to have real full distance golf balls in play. Can’t be worse I’d imagine.

Bbbbbuuuuut he has powerplay points! So he must be an offensive Defenseman!

With Miller and Dahline eating up PP time, Rasmus is going to be a complete lead weight this season. Botts wont be able to sell him for ketchup packets next year. Not a lot of value for bad defensive defensemen who have 20-25 points.

It’s crazy how we get less scoring chances when we put our best offensive defensemen on the ice. Seems really odd to me

Did Nelson tell you his plans for Sobotka, Wilson, Okposo, Larsson, Girgensons, Scandella, Bogo, Hutton and himself?

Ristolainen himself “I think we all know my D game needs to be better”

Apparently he himself knows what we have in him

- OneKaneOneCup

Everyone here knows that too. You just happen to be making Risto sound like he’s way worse than he actually is. He’s a good player with value.

If botts ships him out for pennies. You will cry “why did botts do that” ala ROR

Excuse me, did you miss this?

Giordano in his mid-20's has more similarities to Casey Nelson than Risto.
- Lunaion

I feel like you should be talking about this, as Nelson's agent

funny hockey fact most ignore

the sabres are down a lot during risto's career, as they have been a brutal team

sabres then press to try to get back in a game, and more often then not they fall behind even more for trying to press

law of averages

look at every top end d man, numbers always slip when they become a blah team

look at seabrook 2 years ago, risto numbers
team got a little better and his numbers did last year

this is not saying risto is a norris trophy d man, but this is the first chance risto has had to play on a team that should be a tick above .500

let's wait and see how it plays out

otherwise you can throw losing stats and blah plus minus to justify trading every sabre expect dahlin

Lets also remember that Risto is still only 24. 24 is a baby in defense years.

That’s why what dahlin did last year was so incredible. Defensemen take longer to develop.

A. Because of goals that were scored while he was on the ice? That’s the problem

B. Except this isn’t true for our actual good players

Sergachev, Callahan and a 4th, no way I make that trade

Perreault and a 3rd

easy pass

Andy Greene and a 2nd, easy pass

Panthers had a multi player trade that was interesting, botts passed

with the cap teams didn't offer much

look at what PK got the preds, and he is a top 6 d man in the game still

time to trade risto if they were going to do it was 2 years ago, hell harmonic got a first and 2 seconds

trade market pretty much dried up since, esp when an owner won't pay a bonus so the gm sells low to the blues

I’m not doubting what you’re saying isn’t true.

My point is it can’t be both.

He can’t be really good and have great value and have the offers be the above

Do you get good at riding a bike at a certain age or do you get good the more times you practice riding a bike?

he was a really good prospect, forced to play big time minutes early and often for a losing franchise, with no direction and he told his agent this summer he wanted out because he wants to win

he may peak at a decent second pair d man

he may turn it up and be a 50 point plus 20 d man on a 90 point sabre team this season

nobody knows

this is one instance where there is no need to rush and make a move

Colton Parayko is 6 months older then Risto
trade rumors everywhere for a year

blues stood pat, and probably really glad they did

Thanks for posting this. I will be there when it opens, looks great. I started playing their golf balls earlier this year. Nice to see a Buffalo golf company hitting the big time in a competitive market.
