Safe to say, Oilers will send at least 1/2 of tonight's roster, to the minors.

Hopefully they are a better team than the team that tailed off, in the last part of the last season.
Wouldn't mind if I could somehow get the Comets games as part of my cable package.

I can see Schaller Motte Ferraro being sent there also .

I only recall seeing 2, maybe 3 players that are nhl calibre. That is a team in deep trouble, if more than those 3 players are on their opening night roster.

Ferraro is on a pro, so he would have to sign 1st, but ya, those 3 are 14/15th forward types, at best, but, all teams need depth guys. Hopefully, Benning can make a trade or 2, I would take a 7th rd puck for those guys.

Just a heads up guys. I bought that SN now app for 20$. So far it has been well worth it for a guy who hasn’t had cable in years. I have been streaming Reddit which is sh!t. No interruptions thus far and crisp picture.

Agree to disagree, maybe ive got rosy glasses on but I haven’t seen that. Ive seen him dump or flip it up the ice to change. Haven’t seen any passes to the wrong color jersey.

I watched the game one and a half times. Did not see 3 give away passes by Sven.

Another positive is he was involved on heavy contact. Didnt shy him away from going to the net.

If he's healthy, he's a solid winger. He and Bo work well together. Good having multiple options. They still have to try Pearson with Bo yet....

I really liked Gaudette and Rafferty tonight. Big statement games out of those two kids.

It was easy pickings for the NHL regulars. I think Canucks have dressed better line ups 3 of 4 games so far. They won against the better Flames line up in Calgary though.

Both should help in Utica.
I thought Rafferty played decent enough, in one zone , but looks like a Ben Hutton type in the defensive e zone.
Gaudette did appear to play fairly well, hope he can continue this strong play as Utica's # 1 centre.

Gaudette needs some finish however. Had like 6 quality scoring chances gotta start burying some.

He shows some good signs, but, is also easily knocked off puck.
Could this kid be Mason Raymond 2.0.

I did not watch this game.
Nice 8 minute highlight package though. Read Daniel Wagners " I watched this game" report.
Seemed like he got it right. Gaudette did have his best pre season game but I'd say still has some work to do in Utica. Consistency being one of them.

Raffy also had a good game and doesn't expect to be in Utica long. Let's just remember Ben Hutton and Troy Stechers ups and downs and not seasoning them in in the minors for a bit.

Biega and Goldy are going on waivers for me right now. If Goldy was good enough for top 6 he would stay but he's not and he can't play Bottom 6.

Eriksson and Leivo have the same chemistry with Sutter? As they do with Gaud

What about Pearson, where does he fit.

I think the Canucks will be going with a more offensive 2 way line, for the 3rd group of forwards.
I am not a Goldobin fan, but, if he can show some responsibility, he has a shot, on the 3rd line with Sutter and Jake.
Sven, Goldobin and Pearson, are the 3 forwards battling for the left wing position, on Bo and Sutter's line, IMO.
Even the 4th line with Beagle, could be a bit of a scoring line, with Leivo and possibly Pearson, destined for that line.
All this, barring any trades, of course.

Even if 3rd line is more of a scoring line. Goldy has the worst two way game of any of the forwards. Playing defence unless you are Kucherov is a must.

I've just read he won't play during the preseason... not sure about anything longer than that?
