Lightning placed Domingue on waivers, I still believe he only had a couple good previous years cause of the team in front of him though. Not sure I would want the Leafs to scoop him up or not.

Domingue might be a better option than what we have, but his cap hit is $450k more than we currently have for Hutchinson. He's also not that good overall.

The league average Low Danger Save Percentage is .976.
Domingue has been .956, .977 and .974 in his last three years.

Medium Danger, the league average is .917
Domingue is at .915, .897 and .908.

High Danger chances, the league average is .799;

with Arizona three years ago he was great at .844, but his last two years have been .796 and .757

So last year on one of the best teams in recent history, he posted below average save statistics at 5v5 in all three categories.

It happened at a school in Alberta this year? last year?

Oh?

I'm sure out of line things happen, that's not what I was implying.

I guess my point there is that you know about it now because it made the news now, not 18 years later.

Yea probably.. if you’re about the views.

I’ve always lived on a lake, but now I don’t and I don’t miss it. Maybe the prairies changed me..

The problem is that people try to hide this poop instead of showing humility, admitting that they were wrong, apologize, and grow from it. (things that take character)

Standards change, in some areas drastically depending on time and geography. It would be rather difficult to apologize for every transgression one made over the years. The NHL and NFL still have teams with blatantly racist team names and logos. We will all evolve eventually maybe even Trudeau with his privileged existence. Most Canadians are not even aware of what "Residential Schools" were. If you have the time, look it up, it is disgraceful that Canada did this - and these schools were only closed in 1996!

I disagree with this. Never apologize to people who play identity politics. Their thirst for blood will never be satiated.

As far as I'm concerned, we should be judged by intent and context at the time of the event - not 20 years later when social mores have changed.

What is most amusing about the Trudeau incident is that he has consistently played the SJW card. Now he's facing his own purity test and he's failing miserably - it's nauseatingly ironic.

Personally, I think the best play is to admit that the type of behavior displayed in the past is not suitable in today's social climate. We've grown as a society and we have established new, more progressive ideals.

Having said that, the "cultural appropriation" card is the laziest form of criticism and yet it seems to hold so much power. We're so afraid of being branded "racist" that we're willing to bypass reason and context to kneel before the outrage mob. It's pretty sickening and, mark my words, the next generation is going to push back (let's just hope not to the logical extreme).
