Different living in some of these cities as a 'regular professional' vs. a pro athlete.

Would put NYC, Toronto, Montreal, Dallas, Nashville, Miami, Vancouver, Boston, Chicago, Washington, Denver, LA, Anaheim, Phoenix in top category myself.

Bottom Tier 6 I agree with you - personally wouldn't consider going there.

All the rest in the middle group.

Nylander for Laine.
- JohnFergusonJr

no thanks

actually think the best place for Laine would be Montreal or Carolina...

both Montreal and Carolina would have pieces the Jets could use right away... Carolina in particular could put a deal together that gets the Jets a d-man and a winger

Assuming I have athlete free agent money, climate probably accounts for 60% of the ranking, but thats just my preference

there you go.

everyone (most people complain) when its too hot and when its too cold.

seriously, what's the difference... I love to be outdoors, but 35 and humid in Houston is shyte, and -20 and cold is crap regardless of where you are.

having lived in both sets of climates.. give me the variety any day.

nothing beats a cold morning on a mountain (albeit well dressed) with fresh powder

Perfect example of why you can’t always look at hockey DB to evaluate a player.

He scored 5 goals one game and 18 in hist first like 20.

He was (frank)ing awful the other 3/4 of the season.

Obviously he’s a tremendous talent but last season was messy. I can see why both sides want what they want and it may end up in a trade.

- Santo_44

Like i said, he had a bad year.

But still scored 30.
80% of the league wishes they could have a bad year like that.
Im assuming you guys watch all of the jets games, correct?
Not a laine fan, we know hes a floater, but i didnt watch enough jets games to label him as f'n awful. He scores, thats it. I was pretty sure most knew that

I'll give you that, Trudeau is definitely not a homophobe... Polar opposite...

But labeling Scheer a racist and giving Trudeau a free pass? The person aiming to hold the highest office in our country should not be held to the lowest standards...

I wonder the reaction if Scheer was in blackface...

Crazy world we live in now...

people criticizing Laine for saying he wants to be on a line with the best C on the team.
same people not criticizing Matthews for prefering to not have Kapanen on his wing.

I understand Laine and I understand Matthews - Laine can get 100points with Wheeler and Scheifele, and Kapanen just doesn't complete Matthews' play very well. (although in playoffs, Kapanen should be on Matthews' line).

Top player will want to have a say in who they play with.
(you guys really think McDavid doesn't have a say on who's on his line? or Crosby?)

- MaximusAurelius

When did matthews say he didnt want to play with kap?
Never heard that.

I think the funniest part is when they interview Jagmeet and then a bunch white candidates about their reactions.

Im not giving him a free pass (i can only speak for myself), hes a dumb facking idiot for doing it 3 TIMES!!
But i dont believe he is a racist.
I dont believe he isnt held to the lowest standards and agree the top position should held to the highest.
But you cant expect anyone to be perfect, eveyone has a past filled with mistakes.
Just drives me nuts that people freak out about things that occured decades ago. Oh and of course this pops out right before the election.
Not a fan of attack ads politics.

I hear ya... but for weeks all we've been hearing about from the Liberals is something Scheer said 20 years ago... This week? "Oh it was decades ago"... I just hate the hypocrisy...

I would think that it would have been seen as more virtuous if Trudeau came out with this himself, but he apologized in the end which is... somewhat commendable I suppose.

Scheer has decided to stay completely silent on the poop he said 20 years ago, which I guess is fine for some of his base, but the people who are calling him out on it still have a point.
