You think Sutter is a better top six winger than Goldobin? Or you think Sutter is a better overall player? I’ll take Goldy at $1m over Sutter at $4.5 100/100 times, especially with all the other quality bottom 9 players on the team.

I think he’s a better overall player. Obviously he doesn’t have Goldobin’s creativity or hands, but he’s more versatile and he doesn’t need to play with good players to play his game.

Ask yourself who is better for us in the PO’s if we make them when it’s for free & all about winning. I could see Goldy disappearing while Sutter could fill in in a few roles & can play wing or a depth C.

He might be a more "complete" player, but he can't play in the top six just as much as Goldy can't play in the bottom six, and as a team builder, I would way rather have a limited use guy making a minimum instead of 2nd line cash.

If neither player suited up this year that would be even better

I love Rosterhawk's late night enthusiasm.

The problem remains that Goldy is only able to play his game as a Petey linemate. I personally think it’s worth seeing what this lineup could do:

Goldobin Pettersson Ferland - elite creativity + complimentary brawn
Loui TJM Boeser - legit 1b line
Pearson Bo Sven - north south dump’n’chasers who create off hustle
Motte (Roussel) Beagle JV - grind line capable of chipping in O


But it won’t happen.

This is pre-season, don't get your Hope's up over a player has a somewhat decent period or 2, in 1 game, against a team that sends down, 8 players, the following day.
