Then you trade Sutter if a deal is there. - VanHockeyGuy
Maybe, but if you are that close doubt the trigger is pulled on a tradeIMO. |

Would love to see it but I think we fall about 6 pts short.
We have depth to get past 'some' injuries but not all.
Edler-Tanev-Sutter-Baertchi-Boeser will all be out of the lineup at some point. Question is how do we handle it?

It's a tough call. I know most won't agree here but I think EDM squeaks in. Smith always plays better for Tippett and Talbot should have a better run behind a better D core in CGY. CGY will take a step back from last season but a PO team for sure. - LordHumungous
This is a hot take. |

I know. I don't take anything, just haven't had enough fish lately and most days I forget to take it.
BTW Oranges are like $20 now a days (kidding) but seriously fruits expensive now. - manvanfan
Food is expensive, especially protein. Here in the Okanagan it's more than the coast as well. |

You’ve got to be right eventually.

I haven’t found that. Our grocery bills have gone way down up here.
Except for the semi annual Cosco trips. |

Look at their line-up and tell me that isn't the worst 2nd, 3rd, and 4th line in the NHL. |

Oh they'll totally make the playoffs if they play McJesus 42 minutes a game |

Based on DailyFaceoff projections, I'd take Nuge alone over the entirety of Buffalo's (likely) 2nd line of Sheary, Mittlestadt and Johansson and LA's is pretty similar with Kovy, Kempe and Toffoli. I expect a league-worst 3rd line, but 4th lines are a tougher one to gauge since they're often occupied by a whole lot of unknowns.
I'd concede bottom-5 in all three of them, though. |

Everyone hates on Ottawa, but man how many top picks has this franchise gotten? We are too spoiled in Vancouver for how little luck we have. |

Nuge is awesome. He’s a total Swiss Army knife. But one awesome player doesn’t make an awesome line. |

But they also endured a 3.5-yr reign of Chiarelli soooo... even Steven? |

But his presence on the line makes it a better line than two 3rd liners (one of whom is injury prone) and a hitherto unproven scorer in Buffalo and whatever you wanna call that LA Kings 2nd line. |

They did it the 'right way' by tanking too. Legit feel bad for the fans and players. They didn't even get better this year and McJesus might not even be ready to go. He's one knee away from being done for the year!

Tanking is not the right way to go, it creates a bad culture. |
