The Ghost-Braun pairing his been the best in camp so far. - bmeltzer
I wasn't a fan of the Braun trade but I do think he is the best match for pairing with Ghost.
Part of me still believes Ghost is the one traded eventually. |

AV is a good coach and there will no more bullpoop that went on in the Hakstol era where nobody had any respect for the coach. Things may not look good so far in camp but no worries this coaching staff is as good as it gets with AV in charge. |

I have thought the same thing for the past year about Gost being traded but then I look at his salary in a cap world and he is a steal. Also he is an elite pp dman that would be desired by many teams. It all depends on how Sanheim, Myers or Provorov produce when they get pp time, then the question will be is he expendable and what is the return. I am hoping he rebound to the 65 point Gostisbehere. |

Sorry but we blew our load on Hayes, which was a huge overpayment for a third line center. He may be line two now but he will eventually slip to line three when Patrick is ready and will be a high priced shutdown center and penalty killer. Hopefully we get a couple seasons of good second line contributions before this happens. Hayes is a career 40-55 point guy and expecting more would be surprising. Not taking anything away from Hayes as he will provide a 200' game, kill penalties, win draws but he is not an elite scorer. Think Jordan Staal if you want a comparison. |

No 14 tonight (or 50 or 24) makes lines rather tricky to discern, but I will venture a guess. A little easier to guess the D. Vigneault will speak at 5 p.m.
49- 28 - 11
25 - 13 - 93
81 - 48 - 23
12- 21- 44
9 - 15
8 - 6
55 - 59
79 (S: pds 1-2)
35 (3rd pd) - bmeltzer
For some reason I would like to see frost center g and tk with farabee at 3 rd center. |

I love it too. Doesn’t change the fact that we are two weeks away from watching Chris Stewart dress in our top 9.
I need to get comfortably numb - Just5
I'd be shocked if Stewart comes anywhere near the top 9. I'll be surprised if he makes the team.

I agree that Vigneault is a very good coach but what happened on April 7, 2018, when the Rangers fired Vigneault after the team finished at 34-39-9 and missed the playoffs. What kind of bull poop went on then? |

Ghost and nopa going in trade would free up 5.5 mil and we have like 1+ in space now so that’s 6.5 we’d have. Can make a minor move to minors to save a little more to sign the rfa whoever he is. Cap isn’t an issue |

I agree. While the injuries are concerning. Coots, Richards, and Carter all started playing defensively responsible not throwing up bigger numbers until a few years into theirs careers. Just flyers examples that match up imo. |

Coaches have a shelf life, they all get tuned out eventually.
Patrick, definitely need to wait. The COOTS wait is appropriate but Coots was better and more durable in his first 3 years
Wonder if Coots is 100% right now. |

What makes you wonder if Coots is 100% more than any other player in camp?

You’re guess is probably right, but I think this forward grouping is fascinating. I did different lineups based on which line TK will debut. Then I tried a 4th option a little outside-the-box. There is actually a whole lot more very reasonable options.
Lindblom - Giroux - TK
JVR- Hayes - Voracek
Farabee - Laughton - Frost
Twarynski - Raffl - Stewart

Why would not needing surgery rule out a concussion ? - Devilish4
First of all he is skating and second I’ve never heard of a person being operated on because they have a concussion.
Brain swelling sure but not a concussion. |

Really simple, every coach hired can eventually be fired, even the really good ones. The Ranger record had very little to do with AV's coaching, more to do with the GM. There does seem to be a shelf life with coaches as players seem to tune them out if they have been there too long. Not a bad thing for sure, if the leafs for example struggle or get knocked out of the playoffs in round one even Babcock could be dumped. Personally he is one guy who is only effective for a couple years and then he starts annoying everyone, jmo |
