Marino has been better than Johnson, but that's not exactly a high bar to set.

Joseph is looking good out there too. Long stick and can skate out of the zone.

Unfortunately the choices behind him on the left side are Riikola, Czuczman, Warsofski, and POJ who doesn't look ready.
- Tojo.

Honestly, I would take any of Riikola, Czuczman or Warsofsky over JJ. It pains me to include Warsofsky in this list, but here we are...

Really like Lafferty.

Him and Adam Johnson have been the best out of Wilkesbarre by far. They have a future on our bottom lines for sure. Nice replacements.

It's been fairly even for the most part with a few moments of the Wings dominating play.

How much cap space do we save if we send JJ’s $3.25M contract to the AHL?
- Barnaby36

Its the league minimum $700,000 plus $375,000 = $1,075,000, therefore he would account for $2.175M: http://www.colliganhockey...do-buried-contracts-work/

The hell with the cap hit. JJ not being in the lineup is addition by subtraction.

He is truly just a garbage hockey player. With the puck, without the puck, it doesn't matter - it looks as though his brain just doesn't compute fast enough or at all in some cases.

If they don't send him down, that's on Sully and JR. The JJ experiment should be officially over if they consider themselves Cup contenders. He doesn't even provide offense to help offset how terrible at defense he is. No excuses anymore.

Just saw JJ talking to Marino and I cringed at what he could be filling that kid's head with.

I have no doubt in my mind that JJ knows how the game should be played. It's his ability to execute that's the problem.

Cool, diagnose some mystery skin ailment or something, have him retire and make him an assistant coach for WBS.

True, but also it opens up the necessary cap space to add a 23rd player or 22 and room for a call-up.

BTW, I miscalculated on ZAR, replacing him with a min salary guy doesn't quite do the same, would need around 39k more.

They would be dumb not to. Riikola looks good enough, IMO.
