It's silly. There was no one from the other team anywhere near him. You shouldn't be allowed to "give yourself up" on that kind of play. Just get up and kneel, or something. A kneel should be the only acceptable "give yourself up" play in the NFL. Period.

I have no idea what the rule is, and googling it on my phone came up empty, but the CBS rule guy completely dismissed the idea that it was a safety.
