As hinted at on
@ByJerrySullivan
show, and I'll expand on this here:
Get the sense there'll be more clarity on the #Sabres Ristolainen trade front once #WinnipegJets figure out Laine's RFA situation.

I know you dislike Pominville, but it's a lindy ruff "JOKE" if they choose one of those two instead of re-signing Pommer.

Literally anyone but Sobotka 2019

yeah..it ain't the greatest...that said, cozens, pilut, Asplund, Thompson and Borgen should be on the team next year, which is promising

I remember how excited all the Blues fans were here when Sobotka came back late in the season and scored in his first game back from the Russian league. He can be a good player, if he wants to. He refused to accept a 4th line role there so it made him easy trade bait. Steen took over the 4th line role Sobotka refused to embrace and owned it. This guy will never accept a 4th line role for us. I just hope he bails on us and goes to the K sooner than later

if girgens, larsson, okposo and sobotka are on the roster, this team WILL NOT be playing meaningful games at the end of the regular season

I don't blame anyone for a slogan like that, and it was somewhat painful to write him in...

hopefully he gets traded or waived, but on not sure that's gonna happen

Our team NEXT year is exciting. We got a small taste of that this pre-season.
JBotts is being smart here. All of the above would benefit from a highly productive season in the AHL and a deep playoff run. We will manage the bottom 6 and almost all are gone this summer anyway. I’m sure he will find a way to deal with Okposo if he is not serviceable after this season

Why would he give a (frank) now? All he has to do is show up and get his $3m before (frank)ing off to the czech republic next year never to be seen again. Great work if you can get it

If they truly wanted to ice the best team, guys like Asplund, Cozens, CJ Smith, Lazar and Borgen would be on the team ahead of Sobotka, Scandella, Okposo and Girgs. I am seriously going to puke when I see that 4th line on the ice. I would be OK with Larsson in the 4C role to kill penalties, win some draws and be an irritant. The rest of them should be sent to Siberia.

I know 'next year' is poisonous, but I really feel that's where we're at based upon the number of ufa's and that group of young players

New year,,,new me. Ive been eating right and training all summer so I contribute here more. I promise not to rattle the cages here...at least until they lose one game.

I will act accordingly this year.

The two big stories for me this year are:

1. How good will Dahlin be the second time around.

but moreso..

2. Samson. For a little while he was looking like "just another guy in the league". And for a long while it was looking like we really missed by taking him and not Draisitl. Sam looks like a guy that just took a little while to grow into a mans body, add strength and now is ready to just show hes an elite player. How old was Briere when HE finally took off? I see Sam as the same kind of player.

why are you putting smith in?
why are you rushing cozens?
and why put Asplund in a fourth-line role and Borgen in a bottom-pair/reserve role when they can play big top-line and top-pairing minutes in Rochester?

Its the reality we kinda have to accept. We may get super lucky and get something for one or two as rentals

no reason why he can't move two or three at the deadline and get some lower-round picks

why are you rushing cozens?
?

- Michael Pachla

cozens has been one of the 6 best guys up front in preseason, let alone top 9

he deserves to stick around for 9 games

why sacrifice this season so we can have another Brady Austin and Nathan Lieuwen to look forward to?

send them down, if a team claims them, so be it
