The NHL team.

No Lazar, Asplund, Cozens, and apparently Wilson but he's skating with the fourth line. Conflicting info with him. Larry and Sheary makes it 14 forwards when he returns.

Injuries include Lockport Larry, Montour, Pilut, Bogo, McCabe, Sheary and Hunwick.

Defense tonight is NHL D with Joker and Gilmour. Lotta questions when Montour, Bogo and McCabe step back. Maybe Pilut too but it seems likely he starts in Rochester.

Guess we'll see if they are in the lineup on Saturday, but they've been playing on the 5th line the past few days. Perhaps it's because they were never slated to play tonight. But tonight's lineup is completely NHL except for some defensive fill in due to the four guys missing plus Hunwick, who is done wearing the blue and gold.

Olofsson is on this roster. Means one guy is going away. Thompson and Wilson are probably those top candidates, but why must we stick him with slob. I know they've liked him a lot during camp.

Scott Wilson returned to practice yesterday, but he's been out since Friday with a lower-body injury and will not play tonight. Johan Larsson (upper body) and Conor Sheary (lower body) are day-to-day with injuries. On defense, Buffalo is without Zach Bogosian (hip), Matt Hunwick (neck) Brandon Montour (hand) and Lawrence Pilut (shoulder). Goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen remains out as he's rehabbing from offseason hip surgery.

Tonight's game will air on MSG with pregame coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. Faceoff is scheduled for 7. Rick Jeanneret and Rob Ray will have the call. You can also listen to the game on WGR 550.

In my view, a player "stepping up" means he played so well that it's impossible to keep them off the roster, not "well he looked better than player x in a meaningless game". In other words, they would need to look like all stars, and none of them have.

Ones a UFS the other is signed for three more years, its, like the Skinner trade, if Jeff had term no way we get him for what we gave up IMO.

Probably, but we know what we're getting with Johansson. We don't with the other 3 I just mentioned.
