Two years in college finishing with 16 AHL games at the end of his second season. Then played 41 games with St Louis and 30 games with their AHL team. He should have been sent down earlier by the Sabres, but I don't think there is an argument that we rushed him.

what a crock of sh!t

I think you’re right we need to start winning now. But don’t start flipping out yet.

The roster doesn’t need to be perfect. It needs to have critical mass of talent (the cap keeps any team from icing a perfect roster) buy in from everyone for their role in the system, good health and a lot of luck.

Let’s see how we do.

Eklund says Sabres interested in D Justin Falk. I say why not?!? Get all the D men and then control the market!
- Lilroot9

If we are said by Ek to be interested in Falk we aren't.. If we pick up another Dman i have lost faith in JB having the ability to create a team

Ha! It may end up being another one of those seasons. But at least they'll sell a ton of new sweaters.

He's also thought Edmonton was the best in the pacific, and the Coyotes were a competent franchise.

Despite it being a different game these days, I'd love a Danny Gare or Don Luce on this team right about now.

And tell me Danny Gare wouldn't be Gerbs' favorite player of all time if he knew about him...

Never gonna happen, nor should it. Not that they could not support it, but solely on logistics. Minimum 3 hour flight for Seattle, Edmonton, and Calgary. Then you start looking at 8-10 hour flights for the East coast teams. Half the league could fly to Sweden quicker than Anchorage.

Billy Balance. He was a free agent pickup. Wihelm Synergy came over from the KHL, and Peter Grit was a star in the QMJHL.

This season will be all about evaluating certain players for continued development or fit on the team, while trying to remain sane by ignoring certain others just to get through the season, waiting for 2020-21

Watch list - Development
Eichel, Skinner, Sam, Olofsson, PhatAss, Ulmark, Dahlin, Montour, Miller,
(Joker, Borgen & Asplund when called up)

Watch list - Fit

I'm beginning to think PhatAss should get sent down to Rochester for an extended period of time.
The object would be for Taylor and staff to work with him on his game, and to pair him with Tage.
Both those guys need to work extensively on their tactics, but hopefully may find some chemistry along the way.
Tage needs to really hone his physical forward game by being a beast on the wall, and driving hard to the net every time and having soft hands for the net from set-up from Mitts.

The Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues acquired the 27-year-old defenseman Tuesday in a major trade that sent defenseman Joel Edmundson, prospect Dominik Bokk and a seventh-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft to the Carolina Hurricanes. The Blues also acquired a fifth-round pick in 2020.

After the trade, the Blues signed Faulk to a seven-year contract extension worth $45.5 million (annual average value of $6.5 million).
