That is not correct. It also applies to a player like Farabee whose contract can slide if he plays 9 NHL games or less. Farabee is no longer eligible for Juniors and is eligible to play in the AHL. It was the same for Haag.

I wonder if this could be related to his collarbone. I think he broke it twice in Juniors. I’ve heard that if a bone is broken twice it is very susceptible to injury. This might explain all of the hush hush as it would be an ongoing weak spot.
Just a guess obviously.
