Basically ACD (Im a Collab-Telecom engineer by trade so approve of that name) is complaining that the Flyers drafted players who are doing what they are supposed to for where they are drafted and deserve no credit for that.
Everything is terrible. |

Fletcher on Stewart: "Chris has scored quite a few NHL goals. He’s got a lot more skill than people give him credit for. He’s a really good skater, esp straight line. Brings the elements of being a quality power forward. He continues to get better and deserves to be here.” - daryl stanley
I'm just glad AV sets the lineup. |

An article on the athletic used analysis done by a hockey stats guy to show what coaches had a positive or negative effect on their team both defensively and on offense
Hakstol had a positive impact on both and was in the top 7 or 8 overall. Thoughts? |

BTW, just to chime in real quick...
...if we picked ANYONE other than Patrick as #2 in 2017, this place would have had meltdown and people would have been parading around the WFC with torches and pitchforks. |

I’m guessing you’re referring to Provy Ghost Sanheim?
Ghost is an all offense defensive liability.
Sanheim is a stud but not quite there yet.
Provy is a second pair guy on a good team. - acd513

As a guy who is routing for Stewart, even I can admit this is a little too much credit. I believe we need more of an element of physical players. Not goons but a guy who can play and ware down the opponents. |

I'd be interested to see who they had as a negative honestly. I didn't like Hak but he did some things well. |

Don't be disingenuous. You know that was a long term estimate. If he continues to score at a high level, what do you think it will take in two years? |

Really. So you just don’t believe any of the stories that came out after Hexy got fired?
Patrick was the right pick at second overall. Somebody else should have been picking him. I wasn’t alone in thinking it was time to trade a first for a roster player. Not a knock on Patrick. He looks to have a solid NHL career ahead of him.
Hextall’s blue line of first and second year kids was a disaster. His process was more important to him than the team’s success. This is why Fletcher just had to overpay for Braun and Niskanen.
Let’s be honest, Hextall’s drafting wasn’t that great. He GMd a basement dweller with multiple first rounders and his only home run was a goaltender in the 3rd round. - acd513
