Looks like Jokiharju is going to stick around, at least for a little bit. Again, I doubt that's the case when/if the entire defense corps is healthy.

Interesting that he was put on IR, but Pilut was sent down to Rochester.

Daniel Sprong available too. Man, the Sabres could get like 3 guys and create a whole new 4th line. Man I hope they take a chance on at least one of them (or trade for one of the guys, so that we give back a player, to keep the contract # where it is).

Edit: we do have like 6 open roster spots right now. So we could in theory take 3 guys and still be fine (would have to waive 3, but we can all find those 3 very quickly).

You're pre-supposing that he is going to try to explain away mediocrity.

As he said on Saturday, this is just the beginning. The 23 best players don't all make the roster out of camp and that's ok. It's a long season and some of these guys are young.
