I wasn’t there for the training camp, I wasn’t there before and after games, I wasn’t there for the workouts. I don’t have enough information to choose between two 4th line guys.

Shore earned the 1st game and that’s all there really is to it. Spezza will get an opportunity to play Friday most likely.

If Spezza isn't hurt or he didn't do something at practice that pissed the coach off, then he should start. PERIOD! 16 seasons, hometown boy, signed for cheap with the Leafs, he deserves to have his name called on opening night against his former team.

Chris Johnston says on SN590 that the Leafs are going to put a strict emphasis on keeping Andersen's games started under 60. Freddy feels fatigue has hurt him in the playoffs.

not arguing... but it will be interesting if the Leafs can keep the shots per game down, and if that becomes a factor in letting Andersen to play more games rather than less....
I'm saying this because, even with AHL roster nights included, the Leafs gave up quite a few fewer shots in the preseason (yes I know its the preseason)

If Babcock all of a sudden isn't dressing vets because he feels their play doesn't warrant it I hope a reporter asks him to account for his deployment of Patrick Marleau for the 89 games that counted last season, because that is a guy that deserved to watch a more than a few games from up top.
