Larsson blocked a few shots last night, one nasty one in particular. LTIR for a top pairing defenceman is not ideal for this team, already thin on top 4 guys.

Now let me preface this by saying I don't want to trade Risto, however with Larsson placed on LTIR, perhaps the Oilers are interested in making another trade for a dman similar to the one that got them Larsson. Risto for RNH. I'll take Russell as well if they take Sobotka.

My lab passed just a couple of weeks ago. Hurt a lot more than breaking up with a girlfriend (or wife for that matter). She was the best dog ever. Lived her last two years blind and was happy every moment every day. Her joy for life was an inspiration.

That's a 'never in a million years trade'.

The Oilers are like us, they have no forward depth, except there best players are better than our best, and their rest is even maybe weaker than our rest. There is no way they can trade their 2C. Look how much of a mess this team is without one? I know they are a dumb team but they can't be THAT dumb.

The Preds have had the same goal song since Jesus was a buck private... And it's terrible.

Schaller is probably the closest thing, but he doesn't create the same amount of offense. Most of those guys do not play all 3 forward positions, and the PK. 3 of em basically never made the show. If you're interested in the advanced metrics, he shows well as a depth forward in most categories. He doesn't need to be sheltered with o zone starts to create some offense from the bottom 6. He adds shorthanded potential from the PK.

He doesn't do any one thing extremely well, but he can fill literally any roster hole (almost Tobias Funke "blue myself" there) with some reasonable amount of offensive success, while providing a decently strong 2-way game.
